My guess is that this is the dalek time controller because it doesn’t sound fully like a dalek or davros. This still has the dalek tone of speech unlike davros but sounds slightly less dalek which the time controller is known for doing.

probably because out of all the words he says, ‘doctor’ is the only one we have heard a lot and are familiar with

Hate to be a bit of a wet blanket, but this is defo The Dalek Prime Minister, unless Nick Briggs now does Davros, and happens to use a voice identical to The PM’s voice for Davros
For those saying the speech is too elequent to be Dalek, remember certain powerful Daleks have a history for being more elequent, such as The Emperor, The Dalek Prime, The Dalek PM, and The Dalek Time Controller

I had a thought this morning-

The Daleks don’t remember The Doctor because Oswin kindly erased him from their minds. Surely if Davros did survive The Curcible, he would remember The Doctor, because he’s not a Dalek? Well, if this is the case, it is quite possible that he could make a new race of Daleks, with knowledge of The Doctor. Then, maybe they could got o war one day with the other Daleks 😀

Don’t forget, in ‘The Time of the Doctor’ the Daleks re-discovered who the Doctor was from getting their information about him from his friend Tasha Lem.

To me, if Davros discovered the Daleks had no memory of the Doctor, then this would surely be an advantage in gaining complete control over his creations as he could be of use to them in re-discovering who the Doctor is through Davros’s encounters with the Doctor on TV, Audio Adventures and Comic-Strips.

    • Dalek The Supreme

      July 6th, 2014 - 3:42pm

You forget, they were able to gather information of him from the corpse of Tasha Lem in The Time of the Doctor.

    • StetsonDoctor

      July 6th, 2014 - 5:24pm

Yes, but those Daleks aren’t the ONLY Daleks in the universe-they just came from a ship up above Trenzalore. AND, they were destroyed by regeneration energy. So unless they ‘shared’ this information with all the other Daleks out there, I don’t believe they would remember?

    • matt9982

      July 6th, 2014 - 10:53pm

Yes but wouldn’t the Daleks have put the information into the PathWeb?

    • The Moffat Paradox

      July 7th, 2014 - 9:11am

Thought whole idea of the Daleks needing a pathweb for a collective memory was a silly one anyway.Like in “Destiny Of The Daleks” making them little more than robots that are slaves to logic.

    • The Other

      July 7th, 2014 - 11:05am

A collective memory makes sense to me for a race like the daleks, plotting, conquering and fighting across all space and time; they’d need some way of communicating knowledge and experience quickly in order to organise everything

    • The Other

      July 7th, 2014 - 11:06am

Although I agree about being “slaves to logic” being a bad idea

    • Disturbed Individual

      July 12th, 2014 - 7:11pm

The Daleks DO have a collective mind, it’s mentioned in “Asylum of the Daleks” by The Doctor. It’s called the hive mind. So the ‘Trenzalore Daleks’ would have shared the information about The Doctor with every other Dalek when they learned it. That will be all.

  • The Moffat Paradox

    July 6th, 2014 - 1:54pm

Was unquestionably the Dalek PM who said in Asylum that Daleks could find beauty in hatred. If not a red herring seems very Dalek themed anyway.

In Genesis of the Daleks, when Davros got agitated, his voice became decisively Dalek… And for the most part, this sounds like Davros. The fact that the last word is said like a Dalek therefore means nothing. Davros is returning.

And yes, because Davros is returning, so are the Daleks…

After thinking about this for a while, I think it could be this: Davros, damaged from the destruction of the crucible, is/has being repaired by the Daleks, and he is going into something like his chair in Remembrance. Because he is damaged the Daleks may be making him more machine like (hence the Dalek voice at the end). Doubt it is this but it could be true, you never know with Moffat!!!!

My guess for this is a Dalek. Remember that it was revealed that they see hatred as beautiful in Asylum of the Daleks, so my guess is either the Prime Minister Dalek or the Eternal Dalek.

New rumours suggest that the second episode is titled “Into a Dalek” and will literally see the Doctor and Clara venture INSIDE a Dalek, so maybe this is the Dalek talking to them from inside, or maybe vice versa if there’s a plot twist..! xD

      July 5th, 2014 - 4:31pm

It has been romoured that we will hear Matt Smith on the phone to Clara, and perhaps, his new self, for some reason.

    • James A

      July 5th, 2014 - 5:48pm

@DOCTOR WHO ONE – in the The Time of the Doctor near the end, the Tardis phone was hanging out of its booth before Clara put it back. The 11th Doctor must of made the call before struggling into the Tardis to finish the regeneration, hence why the phone was hanging out.

    • T4RD1S

      July 5th, 2014 - 8:15pm

well, the 11th doctor called clara, so maybe in an unseen scene capaldi takes claras phone to call his past self, and then he calls smith again later

Could be the Eternal Dalek or the Prime Minister of the Daleks. It’s talking about how they see hatred as beautiful, so I imagine it will be a Dalek. Obviously if this is the case, it’s a very special Dalek, hence why I would guess one of them. Morbius is an evil Time Lord, and Davros is a mad scientist, and neither has mentioned as believing hatred is beautiful.

If it turns out to be Davros then this series will have a Tom Baker era quality to it with all the iconic monsters appearing either as goodies or villains:

    Davros
    Cybermen
    Daleks
    Silurian (M.Vastra)
    Sontaran (Strax)
    The Master

Im Sorry Doctor Who One but how do you know its not davros, just because it doesn’t sound like him, the writers and creators may have changed him.

    • Dalek The Supreme

      July 5th, 2014 - 2:48pm

Actually, they kinda did that in Series 7, with the iconic monsters. You had Daleks, Cybermen, an Ice Warrior, Weeping Angels (a more recent addition to the list of iconic monsters), a Sontaran (Strax), a Silurian (Madame Vastra), and the surprise return of the Great Intelligence.
