December 28th, 2012 - 9:00pmIn the classic series I remember the Ice Warriors as being tall, green with clamp like armour hands and large helmets. The green creature an Ice Warrior without the armour?

December 28th, 2012 - 8:15pmHate the new Cybermen design, defo a Iron Man/He-Man rip off look, much prefer the Cybus ones, much more bulkier and impressive. Lets hope the Ice Warriors havnt been downgraded by Moff!

December 29th, 2012 - 8:52amEveryone blames Moffat for everything just cos his in charge of the show
Scott the Raptor
December 29th, 2012 - 10:58amWell Steven Moffat does have the final say and can decide if he wants to put the design on the programme or not. Like Steven Moffat said in an interview that he wanted the paradigm Daleks to be multi coloured.

December 28th, 2012 - 4:30pmThe Great Intelligence is from the Patrick Troughton era, ‘The Abominable Snowmen’ and ‘The Web of Fear’. So, perhaps a return of The Yeti…. During the latest ‘Snowmen’ episode, the Doctor showed a map of the undeground, perhaps inadvertently causing the events of ‘The Web of Fear’. A story thread, or maybe just a tip-of-the-hat by the writer. Same difference, at the end of the day…..

December 28th, 2012 - 4:40pmAnd, I wonder if the name ‘Oswald’ is an acknowledgement to more important things that happened in November 1963…
Golla
December 29th, 2012 - 1:57amyeah in the episode the doctor mentions that he remembers the great intelligence and Vastra mentions that he has give the GI a knowledge of the weakness of the London underground. Also in asylum of the Daleks the characters Harvey and Oswin Oswald are a nod to Lee Harvey Oswald the man who shot JFK

December 28th, 2012 - 4:17pmI have a theory about Clara. It’s not the best but just go with it.
There might be split in the fabric of space and time, and this split is causing multiple versions of Clara to be created, born in different times in history and dying in different ways, but the same woman none the less, and the Doctor has encountered two of them so far, with a third being met in modern day London in April 2013 when the show returns.
I dismiss the idea of various Clara’s from parallel universes, due to the 10th Doctor stating that traveling between parallel worlds in now impossible since the Time War.
Just a theory offcourse.

December 28th, 2012 - 4:22pmTime lords maybe doing something,maybe trenzalore connected
doctorwhoone
December 28th, 2012 - 4:32pmTime Lords are dead mate [except the Doctor ๐ ].
I don’t think Clara has anything really to do with Trenzalore, but there are some new themes in the show continuing next year –
Who is Clara ?.
Reaching the Fields of Trenzalore.
The first question [Doctor Who ?].

December 28th, 2012 - 3:56pmI’ll be peed if this turns out to be yet another companion where the universe revolves around them for some reason. If so then that is damned lazy writing, and after the debacle that was last season, and the rubbish xmas special I really hope they try harder in the 50th anniversary season, otherwise they have lost a lifelong Who fan.
doctorwhoone
December 28th, 2012 - 4:10pmI doubt that is the case, she certainly won’t be like Donna Noble by having Timelines converging on her.
In Clara’s case, she’s really ment to be a mystery it would seem, rather then just another person joining the Doctor for the fun of it.

February 19th, 2013 - 4:17pmI agree!
Answer me on trenzalore
December 28th, 2012 - 3:27pmSo I guess the story is Clara, but I guess it connects to the ongoing arc of trenzalore, the silence and the first question
dd
December 28th, 2012 - 3:42pmmaybe Clara is a time lord and survived the asylum blowing
doctorwhoone
December 28th, 2012 - 4:11pmDD – No, that version of Clara died after being converted into a Dalek.
It would seem that there are different versions of Clara, 2 of them we’ve now met, the 3rd we are going be seeing soon in April 2013 when the show returns.

December 28th, 2012 - 3:23pmNo the villian I. That episode is a woman, she has a factory And converts people into tricksters, but these hav noses, the trickster does not, they just used a similar idea to the trickster ,the eyes and mouth are similar, but the trickster look quite different

December 28th, 2012 - 10:29amAh, a fellow Buffy fan, nice one ๐
I’m glad Joss Whedon never brought back the Gentleman from series 4’s ‘Hush’, cos they where pretty damn scary and memorable for that one story, and if he brought them back, their fear factor would have been diminished, a mistake which Steven Moffat had done repeatedly by bringing back the Weeping Angels who should only have appeared in ‘Blink’ cos that episode made them terrifying, every episode featuring them has in my view diminished their fear factor.
‘Hush’ is Doctor Who’s ‘Blink’ just as ‘Blink’ is Buffy’s ‘Hush’, if you get what I mean ๐

December 30th, 2012 - 1:23pmnot true. if clara was the tardis in human form the tardis wouldn’t work, and when clara dies she would breathe out tardis stuff.
The TARDIS
December 27th, 2012 - 12:44pmReally like the new look for the cybermen. The things in the second image look like something from Underworld and the creatures in the third image look like the aliens in the Torchwood book The undertakers Gift. All I know is that I can’t wait for series 7 part 2! And I can’t wait to see more of Clara either. She was great in the Snowmen.
Doctor Stu
December 27th, 2012 - 7:32pmJust looked online at the undertakes gift book, I see what you mean. I really do hope they are something to do with the trickster because I thought he was such an amazing villain. There is so much potential to the Tricksters character that can be explored deeper in Doctor who than The Sarah Jane adventures because it was aimed more at younger audiences

December 27th, 2012 - 11:46amTo be honest, Series 7 Part 2 looks creepy! Supposedly that white ghost thing is in Neil Cross’s episode, which has something to do with ghosts. And those aliens that look like The Trickster are freaky, but anyway it looks epic! ๐

December 27th, 2012 - 11:38amI said the cybermen look like knights, and now one has a mace on a stick ๐ I can’t wait for the second half, it looks EPIC!

December 27th, 2012 - 11:48amwell Clara had the mace actually cause she tried to attack them with it but the cyber men grabbed it out her hand. but i do agree with you it does look epic. i think a lot of people doubt moffat but to be honest i think he is the best change to doctor who

December 27th, 2012 - 8:22amPersonally I hope not as I don’t really like them, they look like they should be in the Men in Black films rather then Doctor Who.
But I get the feeling they will one day show up once the Doctor some day reaches the so called Fields of Trenzalore.

December 27th, 2012 - 12:24pmactually I belive the last time he stated his age he was 1103 (source: the imposibal astronaut)which is close enough to 1000.
Matt Smithy
December 27th, 2012 - 12:27pmsorry, accidentaly posted without finishing. He could just have rounded it and personally I belive he doesn’t really know his age, he just guesses it and trys to keep count fro mthere, but is never quiet right, as he said he was 900 and something as the sixth doctor but was younger as the 10th. If he says his age in any later episodes, please let me know ๐
lynn
December 28th, 2012 - 5:13amactually i believe he said he was 903 as the 10th doctor and 908 as the 11th.
Doc Brown
December 28th, 2012 - 5:30pmHe said he was about 900 as the 6th, he said he was 900 as the 9th, the 10th finished at something like 907. The 11th said at one point that he’s 1103 but that was actually the Tesseract and now he’s about 1000 years old. 12000 years old? LOLWUT?
Cardew
December 29th, 2012 - 7:10pm@Doc Brown – you mean the Teselecta? Yes, as I rember in Flesh and Stone he was 907.
P.S. What’s a Tesseract? Wasn’t that an IDW comic?
John Smith
December 27th, 2012 - 12:14amI love the new Cybermen! Definitely better than the previous ones, but to be honest the 80’s Cybermen from Earthshock will always be my favorite, well… for now at least. Also I like the look of some of these new enemies. They’re probably ones from the classic series that they’ve re imagined again. Looking forward to it more than Series 7a!
StompingFreak
December 26th, 2012 - 11:47pmLiking the new cyberman redesign. Hmmm Trickser’s in top hats..The thing in the second pic hopefully arn’t ice warriors. They look twee. Clara wouldn’t have snogged the Doctor is she was his child. But she could be Romana. She was left in E-Space. The time war would have passed her by. Plus she had a k9 with her. I really hope they dont mess up the 50th for any older than 20. Moffat has back track on a lot of history. Here’s hopeing time lord don’t have moffats version of midichlorians!!!!!!!
