Doctor Who New Official Trailer

The upcoming season of “Doctor Who” follows the Doctor and his companion Ruby Sunday as they travel across time and space, with adventures all the way from the Regency era in England, to war-torn future worlds.
Throughout their adventures in the TARDIS – a time-traveling ship shaped like a police box – they encounter incredible friends and dangerous foes, including a terrifying bogeyman, and the Doctor’s most powerful enemy yet.

Of course eventually Doctor Who would get to this point. However, the reason I was drawn to the classic series growing up when it aired on PBS, was because of the lack of expensive special effects. The charm was that with a low budget, this meant the actors had to have a good plot and good dialog to carry the stories. Now, with a massive budget and a fast paced modern style, the show doesn’t really retain its past magic for me. That’s OK though, at 60 years, its expected that things would be different, but I prefer the classic series myself.

Viewing figures for all long running shows are down on all channels across the spectrum. It’s not just who. And it’s not a larger audience ripping it to shreds it’s a minority of vocal typers who refuse to accept that other people still actually like the show.

4 million viewers is great when it’s a brilliant show, not that it was ever 4 million when it was brilliant it was usually in the 8’s and 9’s and 10’s. But a larger audience ripping it to shreds just makes it a national embarrassment. And by every comment from the cast and crew as to what this new reboot is actually going to entail and seeing the performances of the two main characters in both the giggle and church on ruby road, that’s exactly what seems like is going to happen

Doesn’t mean anything. We’ve all seen great trailers cut from terrible product. Comicon 2015 Suicide Squad trailer anyone? I’ll reserve final judgement until I’ve watched the series.
Two things are making me twitchy, though-the constant pretty boy posing to camera from Gatwa which reeks of Tennant in his first run, and that ghastly looking musical Beatles episode.

It looks fantastic- epic film scale. I can’t understand people complaining about Disney involvement- more money, better production, wider audience! Or is 4 million viewers and lower production values to your liking?!

Generic supernatural American looking teen show for Disney plus to fill a conveyor belt slot on their streaming service. It’s a machine now to be spat out en masse with no love or joy. It’s not Doctor who

Amazing trailer. I wasn’t quite feeling it after the first teaser, but this new trailer has very much elevated my excitement levels for the season. Very promising!
