The Official Doctor Who Podcast Regenerates
London, May 10, 2024 – Doctor Who has a brand-new podcast.
The Official Doctor Who Podcast regenerates this weekend alongside the highly-anticipated simultaneous global launch of the new season Doctor Who on the BBC in the UK and Disney+, where available.
From BBC Studios, and crafted by the game-changing team behind the record-breaking visualised podcast, The Traitors: Uncloaked, the revamped Official Doctor Who Podcast will deliver exclusives, special guests and more easter eggs and fan theories than you can shake a sonic screwdriver at.
Join brand-new hosts, Nadia Jae (BBC Radio 1Xtra Breakfast) and Shabaz Ali (comedian and content creator), as they bring their fresh perspectives to the Whoniverse along with guest stars from Doctor Who and other guests, including showrunner Russell T Davies. Shot in a specially crafted set that’s dripping in Doctor Who iconography, the podcast is for new fans of the show and old fans alike.
Designed as the ultimate group chat for Doctor Who, the podcast will tap into and lead the social conversation, becoming the key destination for dissecting and celebrating everything in the Whoniverse. This is the place for fan theories, easter eggs, and all the latest gossip. Plus – it will bring exclusive content to fans of Doctor Who, including insights and teasers.
The Official Doctor Who Podcast will drop weekly after each Doctor Who episode airs on BBC One starting on Saturday 11th May, and can be found on all major podcast platforms globally and BBC Sounds (UK only). It will also be broadcast globally in video on the Doctor Who YouTube channel.
Podcast production agency Listen are creating and producing this relaunch which will match the ambition of Listen’s recent chart-topping shows – The Traitors: Uncloaked, Olivia Attwood’s So Wrong It’s Right, and 53 Minutes.
