Skaro was destroyed during the Time War. It was originally believed that Skaro was destroyed in 1988’s ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ in which the 7th incarnation of the Doctor tricked Davros into using the Time Lord device ‘Hand of Omega’ and blowing up Skaro’s sun, turning it supernova and wiping out Skaro and the Daleks on the planet, but in the later 8th Doctor novel ‘War of the Daleks’ it’s revealed a planet was put in place of Skaro just before the events of the 7th Doctor story, and ends up being destroyed instead, killing innocent lives on that planet, while Skaro was somewhere else, but destroyed later on in the aforementioned Time War.

August 16th, 2012 - 11:26amThe women near Amy seems to be a bit short, so if she’s ment to be a body double where we only see Amy from behind, then she’s a poor choice for a body double as she should be the same height as Karen.
It was quite typical of the original series of Star Trek. During fight scenes you can easily see it’s not the actors themselves.

August 16th, 2012 - 9:35ammaybe your right,maybe because i heard the asylum is on skaro in a war,most likely the time war maybe the time lords in the time war created the asylum or maybe the daleks created something bad and they went mad,like the worst daleks ever got imprisoned by the time lords long ago in an asylum but these daleks are terrifying and must be destroyed or something.

August 16th, 2012 - 9:16amno i think the time war daleks are a on a giant dalek parliament,high council of daleks along with some drones and the supreme and they send the doctor,amy and rory to a war torn snowy skaro on there quest to maybe do something to the mad every single dalek ever because the daleks are too afraid to enter.

It’s kind of unfortunate that Amy and Rory’s relationship is breaking down but look on the bright side, there’s hundreds of Millions of Daleks!!! I honestly can’t wait till this episode is shown in Australia!!! Until then… GERONIMO!!!!!

August 16th, 2012 - 7:10amdid you know “Asylum” will mark their first full appearance since The Big Bang in series 5 and the reason for the rest in series 6 was because Moffat felt their frequent appearances made them the “most reliably defeatable enemies in the universe” with “Asylum” he intended to make them scary again.
