The Day of the Doctor – Extended Full Trailer

Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor – The Trailer

Saturday 23 November 7.50pm

The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special.

In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.

Anyone spot the Daleks within the ships, looks like it has a black dome…

In the 1st one you can see he’s hanging upside down from something; I think it’s the TARDIS when he’s picked up by UNIT.

A got this werid feeling that the 11th doctor is in 2013, Where he witness something terrible awakening at Londons National Gallery and the tenth doctor is in 1562 where he has to stop the murderous plot in Elzthbenth England and The Forgotten Doctor is somewhere in space where an ancient battle meets its devastating conclusion, the time war and he destroys everything for the sake of reality. So what do you think then?

Does anyone else think it is a series tardis in the opening sandy scene? It doesn’t have the thick base of the newer series ones…

      November 10th, 2013 - 10:30am

It might ne because its buried under the sand or something. There are trainer footprints coming from the TARDIS and David Tennant used to wear trainers. But because it looks deserty and we se John Hurt on some weird desert planet, it might even be his TARDIS.

    • 100000BC

      November 10th, 2013 - 2:23pm

It is Tennant’s. Can tell from the colour and texture of the wood.

Could be translated as in 10/11/Hurt/Rose/Clara/Kate/Zygons etc. especially as Rose doesn’t seem to have arrived with 10; or it could be why are we all [Doctors] here, in which case it would be a strange thing to say if there were only 3…

  • 100000BC

    November 9th, 2013 - 9:41pm

Just had a thought- If this is the Waters of Mars/End of Time 10th Doctor as is suggested by the appearance of Elizabeth I, then both Doctors are nearing their regenerations…

    • 100000BC

      November 9th, 2013 - 10:07pm

I know that’s the mystery. Presumably she’s been brought in by the main enemy because she has a part to play in their plans (Hence “Why are we all here?”)

If this is what was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con after the end of series 7 it’s no wonder there were strict instructions and warnings not to leak it however annoyed us UK fans were at the time.

Hope we don’t actually see a still too brief enactment of the Time War in full swing in the 75 minutes for the episode.

This is potentially more like what I yearn to see the revamped Doctor Who as being more like all the time.

I have a theory about the John hurt Doctor so if you don’t want to know any theory’s or spoilers then don’t read.

My theory is John Hurt is playing an older version of the parrell earth version of the 10th Doctor: this also explains why he is so close with Rose.
