Doctor Who TV Trailer So is It Bessie?
The TV trailer for The Name of The Doctor appears to a car much like Bessie passing Clara – She has said she has met the Doctor more that 3 times so could this be another occasion.

But perhaps this isn’t the River from after the library (although you’re right it looks a lot like she is) and maybe this is where she learns the Doctors name…
I do like Alex Kingston (the actress) but her character isn’t being used to show the Doctor in a different way. She does just pop up for Mofffats benefit of writing her.

May 13th, 2013 - 7:20pmI’ve actually felt the opposite. During the Tennant era, the Doctor seemed too human to me, and his holier-than-thou-art attitude got on my nerves. The only companion I was attached to was Martha, and the Daleks kept coming back every season to the point where I actually was annoyed by my favorite monster. Smith’s more alien performance reminds of Patrick Troughton (My first Doctor), and the changes made to the show, including the New Paradigm Daleks, drew me back in. Just my opinion.

May 13th, 2013 - 7:17pmNo, just no. I’m sorry, but it would make no sense in terms of continuity. River Song died in the library, as Alex Kingston, so she can’t have regenerated. Another thing, the Doctor’s always been a man. I have no problem with girls, mind you, just gender changing. It’s weird and disgusting, especially for a family show like Doctor Who.

May 13th, 2013 - 7:11pmIf they do kill off a member of the Victorian gang, I think it should mark their last appearance, at least for a while. I don’t hate them at all, in fact, I find them very entertaining,it’s just that they’ve been used 3 years in a row, and could really use a break.

and anyway, the back of bessie has the black material top piece on the back of it, in the five doctors, whereas in the images above she does not

May 13th, 2013 - 6:26pmOk so maybe the tree is the same from the scene where pertwee is taken by the time scoop, but at no point do we see bessie drive past that close or from that angle. The tree image may have been re-used from the scene, but not bessie. That’s been reconstructed.
