Final Series 7 Episode The Name of the Doctor

From the official site…

The title of the series finale has been revealed and is the hugely intriguing: The Name of the Doctor.

The ‘poster’ for the series’ final adventurewas unveiled today and it also confirms that Alex Kingston is back, joining Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman for what promises to be a jaw-dropping end to a spectacular series.

But we’re not there, yet! We’ve still to unravel the mystery of Clara – the woman ‘twice killed’ and yet still by the Doctor’s side… What secrets does she hold? And in the weeks ahead we’ve a trip to a haunted house, a journey to the centre of the TARDIS and a nightmare clash with the mighty Cybermen. But after all those adventures we have The Name of the Doctor and stand by for something that you might always have believed to be impossible…

Woah, hang on dude, what makes you say the Daleks are returning ?.

There’s been no mention of them returning any time soon, so my guess is your wishing really hard for them to return in the finale only to be extremely disappointed when they won’t turn up.

Just cos Daleks are the best Doctor Who villan’s ever created does not mean they have to be in the finale all the time..

First of all I hope the daleks return for the finaly and secondly I think the doctor is more than just another time lord. I think he is an god like figure who is master of his own destiny similer to the cartmell masterplan. I don’t like the idiwa of him being a madman with a box but a lonly god

I really liked Asylum. One of the best stories in the Matt Smith reign.

I agree, I’m just not interested in the Doctor’s name. Do we need to know it? No. Will knowing the answer make the show any better? No. Does being asked the question make the show any more interesting? No. It just really annoys the fans.

How can you tell it’s going to be rubbish just by looking at the title? Never judge a book by it’s cover

Moff has got a strange obsession with this, dating back to Silence In The Library/FOTD, so i imagine it will tie up River Song’s connection with wispering it to the tenth, but… its just not that interesting, and like a lot of other fans have said, why does it need to be spelled out?

The texture of the episode title is Galifreyan writing! What if the Doctor’s name is revealed – but written in Galifreyan so no-one can read it. We already know from AGMGTW that the TARDIS doesn’t translate Galifrey.

I don’t want them to reveal the name it will spoil the mystery about him

Although saying that, I remember The Doctor saying at the end of The Big Bang something like “whatever destroyed the TARDIS is still out there” before getting that phone call.

I wouldn’t like the others stopping him saying his name as it makes him sound like he’s not as clever as the others and doesn’t know as much( when he knows more as he has lived longer, so knows what they know and more) and as if he doesn’t really care if he says his name or not. I don’t know if it makes sense or not, but that’s my opinion.
