yes, it was confirmed in the original press release in 2011 confirming series 7 and hinting that the series would be broadcast in 2 parts again – which it is. Series 7 part 1 runs September 2012 to December 2012. Then the Christmas episode and then series 7 part 2 sometime in 2013 along with the big 50th anniversary episodes. 14x 45 minute episodes.

it wont be any old charecters because moffat said that no old freinds of the doctors will take the companion role.

I cant wait for 50th anaversary episode which i think will feature past doctors in a multi doctor special.

i heard its going to be his ex girlfriend or his girlfriend

  • Bigger on the Inside

I think ( and hope ) Amy won’t die as Karen said she wants her to leave with everything she wanted so they no long ago wrote the scripts so Karen may have asked them for Amy to live and it would make since as like she said, at the start of series five she was looking for ‘who she was’ and ‘where she belonged’ so it would make since that she found this

    Who agrees….?

has that been confirmed somewhere then?

  • Justininferno

Episodes aren’t longer .. they are still 45 minutes each. Blockbuster means they are publicising them as massively produced episodes – just like they called episodes 1 and 2 of series 6 blockbuster.

    February 22nd, 2012 - 3:59pm

when it says big blockbuster movies, does it mean 1 hour and a half (as that is a film length) or are they just an hour long like the specials

I bet the Doctor’s new companion is somone like
Lorna Bucket or Mels. Maybe even Sally Sparrow.
If Amy and Rory are killed off then the Doctor’s gonna be a bit depressed when he meets his new friend. That’s why Russel t Davies had new companion’s at the start of a new series.

  • The 13th Doctor

    February 22nd, 2012 - 7:17am

oh now im really excited i hope some of the classic villains are the ice warriors

  • Jason doctorwhoone

    February 22nd, 2012 - 6:55am

I recently learned that 2 classic series monsters are making an appearance, but it didint say if they where monsters from the original series who havint yet made an appearance, or ones who have, like the Daleks and Cybermen.

Yeah it’s stupid that there won’t be no 2 parters in this series. Doctor Who wouldint be right with out a good old cliffhanger 🙁
