Doctor Who: Brand New Ice Warrior Picture
Doctor Who: New Ice Warrior Picture
From www.sfx.co.uk
Here’s your first good look at the new Ice Warrior design. It’ll make its debut in the third episode of Doctor Who series 7b, written by Mark Gatiss and directed by Douglas Mackinnon. Very faithful, isn’t it? Is he wearing old-fashioned 3D glasses in anticipation of November’s anniversary special, or is that just a trick of the light?
Producer Caro Skinner discusses the new series of Doctor Who, from Ice Warriors to Cybermen and all points inbetween, in the next issue of SFX, #233 – on sale Wednesday 6 March with a Doctor Who cover.

March 26th, 2013 - 7:08amWhat about the other Ice warriors which I can remember slightly different to this one, I beleive this was the leader, are we going to see his underlings, if so then I will then congratulate BBC on doing a good job.
thedaleksdeath
March 11th, 2013 - 9:04pmRegular 60s monster with a slightly modern twist but I’m now worring about there voices.
Daveroper00
March 11th, 2013 - 6:30pmI’m liking the new look for them. I can imagine quite clearly what they’ll be like in the episodes. 🙂
Matt Smithy
March 9th, 2013 - 10:49pmJust thought of something, where are its sonic blasters? Other than that the design is pretty good!
Scott the Raptor
March 9th, 2013 - 11:09pmOn its right arm there is a device that looks like the blaster.
John Smith
March 10th, 2013 - 9:28amYeah, I think they’re going to do a “Cyberman” and the gun pops out of their wrist or something. That’d be cool.
ice warriors
March 11th, 2013 - 7:52pmI thought they were the van baleens.
Doctor Stu
March 13th, 2013 - 7:21amWhat are the Van Baleens?
thedaleksdeath
March 13th, 2013 - 5:02pmI think it’s something that calls you down.
The Supreme Dalek
March 7th, 2013 - 8:08amThey look great, but I hope this does NOT mean the return of The Flood. That would ruin it.
DOCTOR WHO ONE
March 7th, 2013 - 8:32amI doubt we will see the Flood again.
John Smith
March 10th, 2013 - 9:30amJust cos the Ice-Warriors were mentioned in the Waters of Mars and the Flood have tides with the Ice Warriors doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ll be coming back. I personally think if they did, that would ruin a little bit of their mystery. I think 1 Story is enough for them.
dr who
March 6th, 2013 - 9:34pmI have been wondering. is that the ice warriors real body or is just like armer. Because the mouth bit is like normal skin but the rest of it is rock hard. And the eyes cant be red glass.
Alex (www.tzwhoworld.weebly.com)
March 7th, 2013 - 7:39amI think it’s armour, but not armer
joe
March 7th, 2013 - 5:38pmWhat you see is merely battle armour. The ice warrior itself is underneath the armour. Think of it like a knight.
lew
March 6th, 2013 - 6:30pmthe old ones had claws for hands.
but its good to see an old monster back 😀
also didnt the doctor say they were all exctinct??
ill also be watching RED NOSE DAY(comic relife)
DOCTOR WHO ONE
March 6th, 2013 - 8:34pmIf your asking if the 10th Doctor said where all extinct in ‘The Waters of Mars’, then no, he didn’t say that, and they couldn’t be extinct anyway, as their classic series appearances take place chronologically after the ends of that particular 10th Doctor adventure.
Alex (www.tzwhoworld.weebly.com)
March 7th, 2013 - 7:37amThey were frozen in ice at mars….
This is gallifrey, our childhood, our home
March 7th, 2013 - 5:41pmThe 10th Doctor story is hardly about the ice warriors, he only references them, he says that there were people that might have frozen whatever the flood was, and that they used there knowledge and wisdom to do so.
mr
March 9th, 2013 - 8:55amI prefer them with three fingers, because I saw the figure before the episode and thought it had lego hands.
Jamie Bate

The TARDIS
March 5th, 2013 - 7:04pmHeads a bit too small, and some of the scales are a bit too chunky looking but tis so nice that they haven’t ruined them in the redesign.
Dalek Smith
March 5th, 2013 - 7:16pmjust noticed though the hands!!! the original ice warriors don’t have hands like that but still it resembles an ice warrior
UDWF1
March 6th, 2013 - 1:04pmYeah although the old hands did look very fake. I personally am happy with this new design
Dalek Smith
March 5th, 2013 - 6:54pmhooray! Steven moffat hasn’t ruined the ice warriors like he ruined the new daleks. My only worry is that they’ll completely ruin the voices
Dalek The Supreme
March 6th, 2013 - 4:55pmI actually liked the 2010 Daleks…
Anonymous
March 6th, 2013 - 5:38pmThe New daleks are great

March 7th, 2013 - 2:03amI agree that Moffat didn’t total destroy the proud worriers of ice, but the new design didn’t impress me. The new shel is very blocky and just doesn’t look as good as the original, which had hair and a interesting texture.
It’s just looked like another cheep alien and why did they mess up there hands!!! Sure they looked a bit cheesy, but instead of taking time to design a really cool had they just took the easy way.
Well I just they aren’t as nearly as bad as the silurians, by the way I’m still waiting for a apology for that!
Oh and the new 2010 Daleks are absolutely desisting!! I mean who would design a Dalek off the movie Daleks … AND MAKE THEM WORSE!!!!!
Alex (www.tzwhoworld.weebly.com)
March 7th, 2013 - 7:38amHate the new daleks, they look like multicoloured rainbow power rangers
John Smith
March 10th, 2013 - 9:34amYeah I hate the new Daleks too. I like the new Ice Warriors design better than the classic ones. I hated the hair that came out from the gaps in their joints. That was a terrible idea. As for the slightly new armor, I think that it isn’t too chunky or too futuristic looking. They have to adapt to keep up with modern day audiences.
Alex (www.tzwhoworld.weebly.com)
March 5th, 2013 - 6:53pmThis is great!
