Doctor Who At The Proms
Monday 26 August
4.00-5.15pm BBC1

When tickets for the Proms season went on sale back in May, the Doctor Who Prom sold out in a matter of minutes. If you weren’t lucky enough to secure a ticket, or if you simply want to relive the experience, here’s your chance to enjoy some of the highlights from the show.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic and much-loved BBC series, this Bank Holiday television special features Murray Gold’s popular music for the show, accompanied by specially edited visual sequences from the Doctor’s most recent adventures.

Hosted by the Doctor’s friends, Madame Vastra and Strax, the concert also includes a look back at ‘classic’ Doctor Who series and the music created by the legendary BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

Performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the London Philharmonic Choir, with soloists Elin Manahan Thomas, Allan Clayton and Kerry Ingram.
