Power of the Daleks Re-Imagined Part One

Power of the Daleks Re-Imagined Part One

Here it is at last – the first instalment of the Reimagined Power of the Daleks, starring Nick Scovell as the Doctor and featuring guest stars Barnaby Edwards, Nick Briggs and Lisa Bowerman. Part two follows in July and the conclusion in September (but read on for info on a special big screen showing). Made as a ‘not for profit’ fan film we do hope to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Children in Need via advertising.

Call it a ‘work in progress’ as some of the post-production work remains ongoing – so the ‘movie’ version will be different!

The full film will be shown on the big screen Saturday 1st September in Hi-Definition as part of the Power Reimagined Convention www.power-convention.co.uk which will feature guests including Anneke Wills (who appeared in the original) and Michael Troughton (son of second Doctor, Patrick).

Produced by TNT Films, a lot of people have given their time freely on this project and we thank everyone – read the credits and do visit www.tntfilms.co.uk if you need a video made for you, or www.everybodyelse.co.uk if you need music composed!

And the trailer – see what’s to come…

What can I say? I loved it! A great adaptation of POWER, well done to everybody involved & the title sequence and theme music are excellent. The Daleks are far more effective and vocal here than in the tv series.

This is awesome! This makes me want to see Character Options release a “Power of the Daleks set” with Nick Scovel’s Doctor and one or two of those Daleks! An awesome idea, they should do a sequel: Evil of the Daleks!

i watched the trailer and part 1 the other week, the actors are well good, and that bit on the trailer where the dalek goes “WE UNDERSTAND THE HUMAN MIND” made me want to watch it more, if i was to give my ratings on this it’d be 5 stars

This looks exciting! The NSD Daleks with the 60’s paint jobs are outstanding, the trailer only increases my excitement, and my only complaint is that Patrick Troughton couldn’t play the role as he is sadly deceased.

They should make an Evil Of The Daleks movie as a sequel, with the same actor as the Doctor!

they should make a dalek invasion of earth version and the daleks version, it would be really cool

Oh very good. Can’t see the lost stories as they were to remake them out of cannon with the rest of the series. As two Ice Warriors once hissed…

    • booboo

      April 15th, 2012 - 11:19am

from what i see so far loosely yes, Power of the Daleks was about a crashed Dalek ship

thanks, why did they use the otd daleks and not ‘ye olde patrick troughton daleks’ or the paradigm?

The basic storyline is the same, I watched the original many, many, moons ago and still remember most of it. This remake compliments it very nicely.

:O I watched this when it was put up on youtube (because I was subscribed) and said to myself “I should tell the doctor who site about this” but then thought “no, they wouldn’t put it up, its a fan film not dr who news!”. How wrong a man can be. I love it and it is one of the best fan films/re imaginines I have ever seen! I would love to be a part of a proper full length fan film when I am older πŸ™‚
