    Bow ties aren’t cool.

Scott the Raptor: for me its vice versa. Can’t stand Tennant, I think Matt’s the best Doctor since Tom Baker!

I disliked the mini ep as it just got rid of the point of people dying in demons run

David Tennant was the best Doctor in my opinion. I can’t stand Matt Smith.

No, it seems to be a new one, cos if you look up ‘The Eleventh Hour’ on Google in images and look at the one in the Tardis when he says “All of time and space”, it looks much brighter then the one in the above clip which appears darker.

Guessing thats the 11th’s first bow tie and if so thats a good reminder that the Doctor ages and how long it’s been since Amy

Forget David Tennant, Matt Smith is the Doctor I don’t want to go!

I agree with pathdw98 here, Bowties are cool, and taking it away from his costume is like taking away Tom Baker’s scarf, Peter Davison’s celery, the Daleks’ plunger, it just doesn’t feel complete.

I agree with Matt Smithy, the fez is great, Matt Smith pulls it off well with his tweed and bowtie, but it’s better as a running gag then a permanent attatchment.

There was a story last week in the Sun saying Matt is leaving at Christmas this year, but the Radio Times has Matt saying that he is sticking around by simply saying –

“I’m attached to the show for the next year and I take it year by year”.

So he is sticking around, but wither he is sticking around until 2015 I don’t really know, nor have I read any such rumour saying his signed up to 2015 as you say.

The 11th doctor does look good without a bow tie but it’s just that he doesn’t feel complete.
It’s part of him. When he escaped the Pandorica, his first thought was legs, then bow tie.

I can picture the 7th Doctor without an umbrella. Bow ties are not cool.

can anyone confirm this ive heard a rumour that matt smiths signed up until 2015 is this true

  • the astronaut of death

    March 27th, 2013 - 4:15pm

taking away the 11th doctors bow tie is like taking away the 4th doctors scarf of taking away the 7th doctors umbrella or even taking away the 9th doctors leather jacket

some doctors have and iconic peace of clothing the the 11th doctors is his bow tie taking that away would be taking a big iconic part of the 11th doctor away

Last week, on some other news story here on the site, I said that the Sun newspaper [and as it turns out, some others] claimed that Matt Smith will be leaving in the Christmas Special this year.

Well, I’m happy to say [and just to say, I didn’t believe last weeks story what so ever, just for the record] that Matt Smith is not leaving any time soon, as he says in the Radio Times –

“I’m attached to the show for the next year and I take it year by year”.

So if anyone read the comment I wrote somewhere else here on the site last week, don’t worry, the 11th Doctor is sticking around for a long time to come in the foreseeable future 🙂

    GERONIMOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!! 😀

No it’s not. In the trailer where The Doctor said that he is afraid, his costume looks really nice without it. And the bow tie is nowhere near as well known as Tom Baker’s floppy hat and scarf.

    This coat is more attractive.

  • Matt smithy

    March 27th, 2013 - 6:36am

I love the fez! but personally It shouldn’t be perminant, just something that pops up now and again for sections of some episodes. cause’ fez’s are cool! (but also fall off very easily, so would be hard to film when matt is running around) 🙂

i found the bow tie in the ancient box funny 🙂

The 11th Doctor without a bow tie is like The 4th Doctor without a scarf. Doesn’t work. Also while I like the new outfit, I’m gonna miss the tweed if that is it’s last appearance.
