December 5th, 2013 - 4:47pmI just realised something and want to kick myself because of it!! The paradigm daleks weren’t created to make more paradigm dalek they were made to make more (time war daleks)!!! The time war daleks in asylum are the pure daleks creation which makes them pure dalek as well! They could be just as powerful! The paradigm daleks are a superior class (as many people have realised but I didn’t) I’m guessing the paradigm daleks are there to survive and create and to make sure the dalek race lives on and the time war daleks are for battle etc….. 😀 ok I feel better now I guess the time war daleks are pure now, and did anyone notice they were a lighter colour than other time war daleks we’ve seen? I suppose they are more suited for war. And they could have some more hidden surprises cos they were made by very powerful daleks 😀

December 6th, 2013 - 12:03amExactly and in Asylum Of The Daleks I thought it was ridiculous that they still had Time War Daleks even if they are supposed to be probably Paradigm Daleks inside.
Moffatt’s talked about them being an “officer class.” So why as in the online game “City Of The Daleks” are there no Time War design Daleks and red Paradigm drones acting as the foot soldiers instead? Which is what you would have expected from what’s been built up about them and what the different colours are supposed to designate.
(Incidentally as you’ll probably know they also created an Emperor in the game and not a “Parliament” and “Prime Minister”.)
Still having the Time War design post Time War and “Victory Of The Daleks confuses the issue and the best way to gain their acceptance would be to show that as yet unseen “awesome strength and power”.
If the Paradigm design is not supposed to be a decisive upgrade (A bit like in nuclear weapons upgrading from Polaris to Trident) just like the latest design of Cybermen what’s the point of coming up with them in Victory?
What was that then in Victory about “behold the restoration of the Daleks. The resurrection of the Master Race?”
(They should also have Davros back as their adviser.)

December 6th, 2013 - 1:03amThe Moffat Paradox, they were meant to be the new Daleks, but there was a vicious backlash against the new design, and in his efforts to please the fans, Moffat made them an officer class. Also, City of the Daleks and the rest of the Adventure Games are of debatable canon.

Since we never saw the exterior of the Dalek Parliament ship from ‘Asylum of the Daleks’, I’m under the impression that the Dalek Parliament ship and the Emperor Daleks ship share the same design, as I’m certainly not expecting the Emperor Dalek to some how suddenly return after Rose destroyed him in the series 1 finale, or the idea that the Daleks finally have a new Emperor Dalek after it was no doubt firmly established that the Daleks are now lead by the so called Dalek Prime Minister.

December 5th, 2013 - 8:11amI think they got rid of the paradigm due to people not liking it. Sadly it’s still never been explained how the RTD gold daleks came back and were working with the paradigm daleks in Asylum of the Daleks to this very day!

December 5th, 2013 - 8:52amOh come on Anonymous, isn’t it obvious how the Time War Daleks came back in ‘Asylum of the Daleks’ ?.
It’s because the Time War Daleks seen on the Dalek Parliament ship are Daleks created by the Paradigm Daleks.
If I remember reading this somewhere correctly, the Paradigm Daleks felt that the Time War casings proved very efficient and effective during the Time War, so they decided to reuse the Time War casing while re-creating their race, each Time War casing contains a pure Dalek inside, just like the Paradigm Daleks.
Plus, we might see future appearances of the Paradigm Daleks, their not gone really. Just want and see.

DOCTOR WHO ONE, I suppose you’re right, but nonetheless, it seems more and more likely the Paradigm Daleks are being written out of the show. They haven’t been properly in action since The Big Bang, and were shoved behind the bronze Daleks in Asylum of the Daleks for no other reason than most fans hated them. I’m probably just being unnecessarily cynical, but the evidence is there. Then again, they were in The Five(ish) Doctors reboot, so maybe there is hope for their return.
