The Zygons Return for the 50th Anniversary Special
The Zygons Return for the 50th Anniversary Special
From The Official Site…
We’re delighted to confirm that the Zygons are returning to Doctor Who for the show’s 50th anniversary special.
Aside from flashbacks these malevolent shape-shifters have only appeared once before, threatening Earth in the Fourth Doctor adventure, Terror of the Zygons. Despite the fact that their solitary outing was over thirty years ago they remain a popular old enemy and in the 2010 episode, The Pandorica Opens, they were amongst the massed aliens said to be gathering above Stonehenge. Later, in The Power of Three, we learnt that Zygons had one of their ships under the Savoy Hotel in 1890 and apparently replaced half the staff with imposters! But this time they really are back…
We’ve already confirmed that in the anniversary special Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman will be joined by the returning David Tennant and Billie Piper. Screen legend John Hurt is also in the cast and earlier today we revealed that Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey, The Syndicate) would also be appearing in this eagerly anticipated adventure.
We’ll be brining you more news soon!

April 2nd, 2013 - 4:31pmLooks fantastic. Pretty much unchanged. Id take a guess at this being the real reason why terror of the zygons dvd was pushed back to 30th september

April 2nd, 2013 - 4:26pmSorry booboo, I didn’t mean to offend. I fully understand your point but thought I would speak for those who don’t like massive spoilers. As I said, I don’t mind but there will be people who do. Of course they should probably just stay off the internet and never buy any magazines or newspapers…

April 2nd, 2013 - 4:22pmi seen them filming earlier its up in neath their filming and i saw david tennants tardis in the fields to and i managed to get a picture of it and the film crew were just breaking for lunch as i got there and i even saw steven moffat although they were about to have a top secret meeting according to a crew member so they had no time to give autographs and they also said david tennant was up in his private trailer whilst filming but i seen his tardis which was next to smiths tardis which as disassembled on the floor there was also a big huge tent with an endgland flag on which they where filming the scone on a horse next to which looked like viking era or something

April 2nd, 2013 - 4:21pmthey shapeshift, sting people by toutching and can control the lock ness monster! they are pretty bad-ass!
DOCTOR WHO ONE
April 2nd, 2013 - 4:21pmThe Master is dead [seriously, will fan’s get over him and let him rest in peace now for pity sake], but Davros really should be brought back for a 2nd time, and permanently stay with them for good once he kills that Dalek Prime Minister and takes over, plus since the Daleks have lost their memories of the Doctor, Davros can probably give them back their memories of him, or at least give them his memories of encounters with the Doctor.
booboo
April 2nd, 2013 - 4:21pmthey are shape shifters, they can take on human form – so they can be extremely threatening
aagacac
April 2nd, 2013 - 4:19pmI’ve never seen an episode with the zygons in but, what’s the point in them? I don’t really se how they can be that threatening, it looks like a teletubby crossed with a sontaran
dalekdan12345
April 2nd, 2013 - 4:19pmI agree with Booboo, they are beautiful in an evil monstrous sorta way xD
DOCTOR WHO ONE
April 2nd, 2013 - 4:18pmYou could always block this guy Boo Boo.
I’m no fan of Zygon’s myself, but I do agree with you that they are indeed very close to the originals from ‘Terror of the Zygon’s’, infact, these guys along with the Ice Warriors in the new series are the only classic creations who’s form has not been altered that much and looking as they did in the good old days of Doctor Who.
