1. what is the oldest question in the universe?
wouldn’t it what is your name ? also think this because of the doctor’s real name being hidden, from everyone, appart from the one woman who know’s it, river song.
2. how does the doctor not die?
well honestly in my opinion, i think it is a ganger, because the doctor was very ready for the death, when the doctor usally is always afraid of death.. where the ganger wouldn’t really be bothered.
3. what does it mean by silence will fall?
well there was a caption in the trailer which said ” silence will fall, all those times i heard them words i never realised it was my silence, my death” so i think silence will fall means death is coming.
if anybody has anymore questions please say, and i will try and find out..

September 25th, 2011 - 3:15pmMy logical explanation would be: there are three River Songs in the episode “The Impossible Astronaut”.
The first one was the little Melody Pond, who was kept captive until the day she got sick and started regenerating for the first time in her life (When she regenerates she seems to get really strong, cf when she was shot by the Nazi officers, remember also the TIA episode when River commented whoever escaped from the straightjacket must have been really strong). This Melody Pond escaped, got to be Melody the childhood friends of Rory and Amy, and grew up with them.
The second River Song is the adult who wore the space suit and shot the doctor. At the end of the LKH episode River was taken to the infinite schism. But as Madame Kovarian said when she found her in the CT episode, she “never really escaped at all”. The adult River was captured for the second time and re-programmed to kill the Doctor.
The third River Song was the one who had already “killed” the doctor. She was with Rory and Amy at the time on the beach. She was already imprisoned at the time because she “killed” the doctor. She is imprisoned in the far future, holds the secret what really happens to the doctor when Rory, Amy, and us all saw him being shot.
We shall see if I have read the writer’s mind well enough.

September 25th, 2011 - 2:07pmIt thought it was implied that the doctor took her to the future (or infinitely far away place?) to be cared for by the sisters of infinite schism. She attends Luna University at the year 5000s. To find the doctor, whose adventures are in the year 2000s according to the earth calendar, River becomes a futuristic archeologist, get herself a time-travel vortex manipulator and “digs layers of history” backward from the year 5000s all the way to the 2000s. That is why her time line is in reverse to that of the doctor’s.

September 25th, 2011 - 1:18pmAs the season draws to a close and we sit back and reflect on it as a whole, I for one am a little disappointed that the whole season has not been as good as these last few episodes. Closing Time had it all – humour, scares, pathos – and surely Matt Smith’s performance of the series – bring on the Wedding!

September 25th, 2011 - 11:46ami did like this episode, but ive got so many question for next episode, first;in series 5 the ‘the pandorica opens’there is that voice saying ‘silence will fall’ I always thought it was the silence but in a way they can hardly talk so who says that?? and also there must be a reason for madame krovein to hate the doctor so much,maybe he did somthing to her or somone else in the past?and also if river\melody kills the doctor then how come she ay somthing when he gets killed?? questions need to be answered ticktock….

Rediculous, awful episode and if I ever see another mention of the girl who waited/couldn’t be bothered to wait – whatever – I’ll go mad. Writers have clearly run out of ideas. Can we get rid of Steven Moffat please. NO story he’s written this series has ever come close to Blink!.

September 25th, 2011 - 10:06amI loved this episode, I think Craig’s character is just great and I love their relationship and ofcourse stormageddon. I would love James Corden to be the series 7 companion but I doubt it will happen. I do wish that the finale was in two part though because I can see it being a huge cramming of stuff into the last like 5 minutes.
