Doctor Who – What Did You Think of Hide?

What Did You Think of Hide?

Clara and the Doctor arrive at Caliburn House, a haunted mansion sat alone on a desolate moor.

Within its walls, a ghost-hunting professor and a gifted psychic are searching for the Witch of the Well. Her apparition appears throughout the history of the building, but is she really a ghost? And what is chasing her?

Now that the 4th episode of series 7b has aired in the UK what did you think?, was it the best episode ever or just average.

I agree, although it was a bit amusing!

Completely agree Sam, thought it was a really good episode, and I don’t care what anyone says, I liked The Rings of Akhaten as well, and I say long may Neil Cross continue to write Doctor Who episodes, he’s very good at it!

Didn’t know the Tardis could project holograms of people outside herself, that’s new.

Not the same one, the Doctor returned that one in ‘Planet of the Spiders’.

it was a quite good episode. the doctor and clara are great together, jess rain and… the other guy were very good in the story, and the creepiness was really good, but I don’t know if I liked the whole monster/ love element because it got silly at the end with ‘romeo.’ I think it would’ve been better if they were both lost. part of me would’ve liked the whole thing to be an evil alien trying to get into the world but they are flickering through time or something. having it as a time traveller was slightly random and that could’ve been done better. it had good structure and the first half was better.

Well… that’s a shame! I think they are some of the best episodes since it’s revival… and I’m not a fan of horror, though I loved todays episode!

I have a feeling that the God Complex mystery will be resolved in next weeks episode…

Did you not watch The Empty Child or Blink? 😛

I think the creepiest ‘creepy’ story has got to be The Unquiet Dead, a chilling atmosphere, terrifying monsters and creepy sets.

Fantastic episode. The best so far. All the cast were amazing in this. Did anyone else notice the funny coincidence about the Metebilis 3 crystal and it being set in 1974? And it being November 20 something as well?

Because it has a large fan base and an awful lot of fans. It usually gains about 26% of the TV audience, which is quite a lot if you thing about how many shows are on TV! Yes it gets criticism but it has a larger community of loving fans, and nearly 50 years of history! The start of this episode was long and boring (the Ghostbusters line was too cheesy) but the second half was ok! isn’t an episode I would watch again, but in the second half it was enjoyable. I give it 6/10 🙂 and yea, the metebelis thing was annoying, you think they would have told him how to say it! 😀

this episode wasern’t a good episode but then again it wasern’t bad. there where some good parts like the continuaty references( although matt smith pronounces Metabelis wrong its prounounced met-a-bee-lis and the ending kinda rewind thefeel of thie episode the idea that the monster’s plot was to get back so that he can( lets just say reverse the polarity of the nutron flo) with that other monster yuck. The acting was good. I give this episode a 4/10 only because I felt this story went nowhere

Maybe his greatest fear was being left without a TARDIS?

I think journey to the centre of the TARDIS looks quite good

  • The TARDIS

    April 20th, 2013 - 7:34pm

A massive step up on the series so far. Great to see a return of the crystal from Metabelis 3, although Matt Smith did pronounce it wrong… Slightly creepy at the beginning, although all of the stuff about the creepiest episode ever was a complete lie. Didn’t detract from my personal series highlight so far. Journey to the centre of the TARDIS looks very interesting, looks to be some developments in the relationship between Clara and the Doctor.

I think it was awful. Matt Smith didn’t pronounce Metebelis correctly and I don’t quite know how after criticism, they still continue to make love stories.

Actually forget that because when he looked in his room this episode hadn’t actually happened yet so it couldn’t have been his greatest fear. 😳

When the Doctor is in the forest the TARDIS cloister bell was ringing. So this might be what the Doctor saw in his room in the God complex.

It’s halfway through the episode but I’m missing it as I don’t watch things starting from the middle.
