October 12th, 2014 - 8:07amIt was a brilliant episode and I enjoyed it!

October 12th, 2014 - 7:11amI agree
DOCTOR WHO ONE
October 12th, 2014 - 7:00amNot a very good episode in my view, and I thought it was not ment to have Clara, since she was not featured in the trailer for it.
Frank Skinner and that Foxes girl was a waste of time. He barely did anything, and all she did was sing a bit of ‘Don’t stop me know’ by Queen and that was that.
Plus there felt to be a bit of a Red Dwarf moment when it seems the Mummy had something inside itself that might as well have been Rimmers Light Bee that projects him.

October 12th, 2014 - 6:06amI think that the reason why this episode was so amazing was not only because it was, but because it did something we hadn’t seen before. Unlike some of the most recent episodes that feel like they were just old episodes revamped.

October 12th, 2014 - 4:57amLess Clara = better episode? Yes. I was really hoping she was going to leave at the end. The sudden change of heart came out of nowhere. It was poorly executed. I’m finding her to be very unsettling. Ever since the first episode of Series 8. I quite liked her in Series 7. We got a glimpse of what 12 will be like without her tonight, and it was glorious! Could Clara Series 8 be the worst companion in modern-day Dr. Who? I think PC could easily carry it alone. Imagine that: a Doctor travelling without a companion…

October 12th, 2014 - 3:37amIt was okay-ish actually. Would say it’s one of the best of this series, that I’m not really a fan of.
Now I’m going a little off topic here, if you don’t mind. Fans who don’t want to know anything about future episodes, then please look away now. I’m going to talk about someone who has confirmed to be cast in the Christmas Special.
Basically, Natalie Gumede (Coronation Street, Strictly Come Dancing, Death In Paradise) is a brilliant actress. One of my favourite in fact, which is why I am doing this. She probably appears in the christmas special as a different character, but I want the actress to appear in Series 9 as the next companion.
For those of you who do agree with me, may I ask that we all gather to get this trending on Twitter. Just use the @ logo and then bbcdoctorwho, then @ logo nataliegumede, then #doctorwho #series9companion #nat4who and whatever else you want. Thanks and let’s do this fellow whovians and lets get this trending and lets get Natalie to The Tardis!!!!
Exterminator
October 12th, 2014 - 1:08amNow that was a fantastic Dr Who episode. Scary monster, people dying, mystery and suspense. It helped having a later time slot this week.
Peter Capaldi was wonderful here, the scenes with just him and Clara were great, I loved the bit where they were looking out the window at the black hole.
The use of humour was just right too, I loved the jelly babies and the “are you my mummy?” Even better was the monster putting his hand through the Dr’s eyeball!
I loved it. 🙂
Last Goth Standing
October 12th, 2014 - 12:57amI have no doubt I am paraphrasing someone when I say…. It was fantastic, for it was borne of fantasy, it was terrific, for it begat terror and it was awesome because it filled the with awe…. If I am not paraphrasing anyone I am claiming the quote… The Doctor, Capaldi’s Doctor, is a rock; and because he is a rock he is cold and hard; he isn’t human and, therefore, doesn’t always retain humanity. Mummy On The Orient Express was excellent… I was fantastic, terrifying and awesome and, in many respects, reminded me of The Talons Of Wen Chiang, the Tom Baker classic whodunit. It was brilliantly written and executed with grim genius. This is the perfect Doctor Who formula. Don’t scare children; children are scared by everything or by nothing. Scare the adults, they know what fear is… And we love it. Oh, yes, we love fear and exhilaration… We crave this because we don’t grow up, we grow old. Fear, fear that can’t touch us reminds that we are still children. Excellent work.

October 11th, 2014 - 10:58pmOMG, I absolutely loved this episode!
The Foretold was horrifyingly stunning, while the actual plot brought shivers down my spine. Despite my liking for Clara, I am glad the episode focused more on the Doctor saving the day. All I can say is that this is one of my all time favourites. 10/10
Meanwhile, I was getting excited for Flatline but the trailer looked rather average..

October 11th, 2014 - 10:11pmBest episode so far 10/10.
Loved the jelly babies case and also ‘are you my mummy’ reference.
Had noticed when he was speaking to himself in his cabin his voice sounded like the 4th doctor. Uncanny.
Also nice to see the actress at the start who previously played miss hardaker in curse of fenric.

October 11th, 2014 - 10:09pmFINALLY.It has taken 8 episodes but THAT was Doctor Who.Capaldi became the Doctor tonight, gripping story, just the right amount of humour and suspense.l have been a harsh critic of this new season and honestly thought it was in trouble but if this standard can be maintained l will happily admit l was wrong.Note to Moffatt, more like this, less of everything you did before.
Gallifrey Will Rise Again
October 11th, 2014 - 10:09pmMissy & danny could very well be connected. I think danny is definitely going to turn bad before the series reaches it’s conclusion.
Prof Horner
October 11th, 2014 - 10:07pmBest episode so far .I liked the early Pertwee look of the Doctors costume. I felt you really cared for the people who died in this episode.
the astronaut of death
October 11th, 2014 - 10:03pmI thought it was smoothing made by missy

October 11th, 2014 - 10:02pmThank you
Gallifrey Will Rise Again
October 11th, 2014 - 10:00pmThat crossed my mind too. There’s definitely something brewing and it’s not going to end well.

October 11th, 2014 - 9:59pmNow that was a good episode. And it appears the voting seemed to think so as well. It’s the first one this series that I’ve given full marks to.
Maybe I’m just getting use to his more coarse nature, but there was also a slight caring side that crept out.

October 11th, 2014 - 9:56pmIs it Danny?
