What Did You Think of The Bells of Saint John?

What Did You Think of The Bells of Saint John?

The Doctorโ€™s search for Clara Oswald brings him to modern day London, where wifi is everywhere. Humanity lives in a wifi soup.

But something dangerous is lurking in the signals, picking off minds and imprisoning them.

As Clara becomes the target of this insidious menace, the Doctor races to save her and the world from an ancient enemy.

Now that the 1st episode of series 7b has aired in the UK what did you think?, was it the best episode ever or just average.

Wait, now that I’m thinking about it, Clara technically didn’t die in AOTD. She was converted into a dalek, she didn’t get killed. *Sigh* I guess that’s how time works from now on. Timey wimey, timey wimey,…

I liked it. It was different than the other 11th doctor episodes, but change is what holds Doctor Who alive, doesn’t it? Also, I think Clara is a fixed point in the time vortex. Not in time (like Jack Harckness), but in the time vortex. Everytie she dies, there wil pop up another version of her somewhere in the Whoniverse.

No. As I watched more The Bells of Saint Johns, the story seemed to get worse.

I have said this in several other threads but wasn’t Sydney Newman the show’s creator a Canadian ie. page one….? Just a thought.

I think she is trying to remind the Doctor to save her or go back for her.

    Clara Theory!
I think she has had her mind wiped of the Doctor. It is obvious that the Clara we saw in TBOFSJ is the backbone for the others, hence the rycbar and Nina. I think she gets dispersed over time in the hope she doesn’t meet the Doctor again, but I think she gradually remembers, which is why she keeps repeating to the Doctor: Run you clever boy, and remember. I think the missing word is ‘Me.’ Run you clever boy, and remember me.

Thats the first thing i thought having seen it was the comparison with the idiots lantern. ‘the wire- now updated to wi-fi. Also the doctors passing remark that monks aren,t cool. was that a swipe and a wink to ‘the meddling monk, i wonder.
