Just had a thought about Clara, could she be the Key to Time ? In the classic series the key was broken into six parts and scattered throughout time and space, the final part was a humanoid so we know they can assume human form. At the end of the story the Doctor scattered the pieces again. There have been various audio and written stories that continue the story further but never to my knowledge anything in the TV series.

I think we should play the one word game:
Try to describe the emotion, excitement and mystery of the episode as well as your opinion in just one word.

    I’m going to say ‘Oswald’

It was also because he wanted her to join him, so it shows to her that he want her by getting the umbrella so she could reach!
That was my favourite scene, where Clara worked it all out then was lifted up by the ladder!!!
What was your favourite scene booboo?

I agree, im in the minority, but it didnt do anything for me. I loved all the RTD Xmas specials, with Voyage of the Damned and The Next Doctor my favourites. This one started well but its becoming too fairy tale….staircase up to a cloud??? Whats the matter with parking the TARDIS in a dark corner of a London street? The snowmen were wasted, didnt see them do much at all. Easily defeated too. And can we not have a normal companion? No complex back story….just pick up a new friend and off they go…instead we will have to endure more timey wimey claptrap nonsense nxt season before we find out who she is!!!

Well I feel I should apologize to anyone here on the site for me telling that that the 2 women played by Jenna are not the same woman when it turns out they are, but be fair, how was I too know ?, I just assumed they where female relations of some sort, like a great great great grandmother and great great great granddaughter.

So then Clara Oswin Oswald – WHO ARE YOU ?.

Boy she is gonna be a mystery for us to solve during the 50th Anniversary, and I look forward to it !! 😀

The best Christmas special ever. A clever twist at the end that wasn’t confusing. 10/10.
    Favourite quote:
Clara: “Does it have a kitchen? I like making souffles.”

New theme: Awesome!! New outfit: Not as good as the tweed, but still pretty good! New TARDIS interior: Fantastic! New Cybermen: Excellent, but I’m getting a little ahead in time. Great special, best of the Moffat Era so far! Also, it does a good job of making new viewers want to go back and look at the season so far, and stay tuned for the second half! Bravo, sir!

It was a test, to see if she figured out what his plan was. she couldn’t reach the bottom of the ladder, he could.

Little things: Not being mean or anything – BEST SPECIAL EVER! But when Clara asked:

    ‘Can you control the Cloud?’
    The Doctor Replied
‘No-one can Control clouds, that’d be silly’
but yet in A Christmas Carol Kazran Sardick controlled the clouds and the Doctor knew about it

also, why did the Doctor give Clara the umbrella,it was never eally explained, any-way 11/10

Did anyone notice Clara’s date of birth on her gravestone was November 23rd ? Now what was the date on which the very first episode of Doctor Who aired ? Correct – that’s no coincidence !

I’m sorry to say I haven’t been too impressed with Doctor Who since Matt Smith arrived. I just think the episodes have lost quality in terms of storylines, characters and even graphics; but I’m sure some people will appreciate them. The best Christmas special, in my opinion, was Voyage Of The Damned. 🙂

I think ‘A Christmas Carol’ is the best Christmas special.

    December 25th, 2012 - 10:52pm

Yes, that was very good. The last two Christmas episodes were a complete embarressment to watch, especially ‘Christmas Carol’- awful. This was the best use in the Moffat era of multiple companions. After a hit and miss opening to the 7th series and frankly an abysml 6th, I hope this is a sign of things to come. Thoroughly enjoyed it, from the cast, use of characters, design and story, I will be buying the DVD !! Excellent stuff.

I thought it was great. Better than last year’s but not as good as A Christmas Carol. It was still good though and I’m looking forward to Part 2 in April! 😀

I didn’t like it too much. The conclusion was non-existent, and the bad guys sorta sucked. The trailer was definatley the most interesting part.

  • CYBERMEN97000

    December 25th, 2012 - 6:19pm
