    The Ears:
    a) makes much more sense
    b) it’s obviously the ears – I don’t know how you can mistake it.

Yes, the 6th Doctors last ON SCREEN words were “Carrot juice”, but his actual last words are unknown.

You can’t judge him by that short clip where he’s still suffering from regenerative trauma. Remember- He is the Doctor, whether you like it… or not.

DO you know how River Song was in David Tennant’s episodes, and they brought her back in Matt Smith’s reign, they might also bring Jenny back in Peter Capaldi’s reign (I think peter capaldi will be rubbish, he doesnt even compare to matt smith) And you know in the very first episode, the doctr’s companion is his grnad daughter, that means hes had kids, but why dont they tell us who thy were? in the classic ones?

Also, in this Crack In Time arc, there is a plot hole. The Cracks in Time closed when the Doctor averted the destruction of the TARDIS in 2010, does this mean that Gallifrey caused the TARDIS to explode in a future series?

The rating is based on the regeneration sequence/outcome. If I had to rate this episode it would get at least 3. I’m really excited for Capaldi’s Doctor but I think that he needs to tone down the accent and make it less apparant. I found that Amy returning was emotional- but was it really necessary? There are an infinite number of possiblilites that could’ve been done, but Amy’s return was easily the most predictable.

Jon Pertwee into Tom Baker was my first episode. That being said, Tom Baker’s biggest fan, you’ve got to be kidding!!!

So you liked almost the entirety of the episode, but give it a rating of less than half? Also, the reason for the short change was because the big part of the regeneration came with destroying the Daleks, and honestly, what makes moping about change and acting like the next Doctor isn’t the Doctor better than reflecting on what we’re leaving behind, but still looking ahead to what the next Doctor will bring?

When they want to regenerate the Dr and change him to a her, could they use Jenny, his daughter? And if not, then where is she?

It was revealed in ‘The Wedding of River Song’ that the regeneration in ‘The Impossible Astronaut’ was nothing more but a trick because it was not the real Doctor who River shot in the Astronaut space suit, it was the Teselecta robot which can disguise itself as anyone, so the real Doctor had the miniaturized people inside it miniaturize him when they brought him inside their Robot, along with his Tardis, and then disguised their Robot as him, so it’s him who get’s shot by River Song, not the real Doctor.

Re-watch ‘The Impossible Astronaut’ and ‘The Wedding of River Song’ if you own series 6 on DVD.

Please can someone explain to me if Matt Smith’s doctor had no more regenerations left before the Time Lords intervention, how he started to regenerate when River shot him in the Impossible Astronaut?

Why does it have to be something relating to “twelve” or “The … of the Doctor”. Many of the other first episodes relate to the episode itself:

    1st – An Unearthly Child
2nd – The Power of the Daleks
    3rd – Spearhead from Space
    4th – Robot
    5th – Castrovalva
    6th – The Twin Dilemma
7th – Time and the Rani
    8th – The TV Movie
War Doctor – The Night of the Doctor
    9th – Rose
    10th – The Christmas Invasion
    11th – The Eleventh Hour
    12 – ?

The End Of Time, a better story than The Time Of The Doctor! What are you talking about! Steven Moffat is the best thing to happen to Doctor Who since the revival of the show. RTD is possibly one of the worst writers of the revived series (except Matthew Graham, the writer of Fear Her). The Time Of The Doctor was a much more classic regeneration episode, and classic who will always be the best who!

    Defender Of Trenzalore.
Except that Star Trek has been a bigger money spinner for CBS/Paramount than Doctor Who for the publiclly funded BBC,has had bigger TV/Movie producton values, is a more globally recogised brand as any episode from any series has been statistically always shown somewhere in the world even when no new series were being made (and thats not counting the movies),has vied with Doctor Who for being longer running when no new offiicial Doctor Who was being made, still has a larger fan base if judged by the extent of the convention circuit worldwide and has had a BIG cultural impact including even on the English language itself and inspiration to innovate as with mobile technology.

It’s true (though I’ve read the original plan was they should be a race of insects which was dropped as being too challenging) the Borg can be seen as an idea pinched from the Cybermen but the latest version of them and their ability to rapidly upgrade could be seen as pinching the idea of the Borg’s ability to adapt.

So while I agree that Doctor Who should be made for a British audience it still has some way to go before matching or surpassing Star Trek for the reasons set out above.

(I personally like something like Predator even more in Sci-Fi.)

my biggest issue was that there were so many commercials it was choppy,, I was alittle disappointed really,, I think I either missed a lot of the episode or it was confusing and part did not really make sense,, and then the very ending,,

I must voice my displeasure at this episode. The first 50 minutes were nail biting, very good indeed. But by the end I felt that this was not a fitting goodbye to Matt Smith. I mean come on, surely 11 needed a more dynamic exit? And Amy bloody Pond coming back… ugh. Isn’t her story done? And Rory has done way more than Amy so why wasn’t he there??? And the half-a-millisecond regeneration was diabolical and just lazy of the BBC. And then Capaldi running around screaming in a Scottish accent! I don’t have anything against it, but it sounded a lot like he was putting it on too much. This episode isn’t in my good books – 2/5

Sorry but every entrance iv seen has depicted the new doctor perfectly everytime. Matt has me thinking he would be great from all of the 30 seconds we saw him after david T’s regeneration.

Capaldi on the other hand came out looking like a drunk. Possibly homeless. He just isnt doing for me. I was massively disapointed the second I saw him.

Oh and the doctor not knowing how to fly the tardis????

I cant beleive people are being payed to choose awful actors.

Here’s the deal with the Dr’s regeneration. I’ve seen several regenerations and only nine and ten had ‘golden light shooting out their fingers’ (oh–and The War Doctor as well). The rest just faded into the next Dr., JUST LIKE Matt Smith did. So the regeneration of THIS doctor was more true to the ORIGINAL first NINE Doctors. As for Americans believing THEY are ‘the biggest fan base’and the BBC needs to let them call the shots–I say B.S. Dr. Who had MAJOR fans everywhere in the WORLD before the Americans ever even saw their first Tardis. As for the whole show–I wanted it to be longer….maybe two full hours. Satisfied though. Fitting ending for Matt Smith.
