@ Lepter – I completely agree with everything you’ve said here ! I came to tonights episode hungry for answers and left it behind STARVING for them !

Way to conveluted plots and arcs and far to many questions left unanswered…time for moffat to move on before our fave show is sent the same way as confidential !

And yet ironically, COTBS Was the ONLY ep I really liked in this series ! Tonights ep was rubbish and left WAY too much undone and too many questions still needing answers. Time for the Moff to go now I think !

a brillient episode. There are still loads of questions left unanswered from season 5.
    Like
1 What was up on the second floor in amy’s house on the out side u can see the ground and first floors and not a second flood.
2 What made the markings on the ground outside amy’s house.
3 Who take control of the tardis when River was in it when we heared Silence will fall and then it blows up.
4 in leadworth there is a duckpond without any ducks on it.
thats my rant done lol. I hope we see River again in the next could off seasons. roll on christmas.

This has been very much a ‘marmite’ series. You either thought it was the best series ever or the worst thing ever to grace British television.

I have to agree with the former. Every episode, bar one, has been a joy to watch and i especially loved this one.

Damn you ‘curse of the black spot’

The Christmas special will i’m sure be stand alone and they Havant even stated on the 2012 series and it will be shown towards the end of the year rather than the beginning

DW S6 Finale was a really good episode to watch there where some dissapointing bits but still more better than The Big Bang. It did answer most of the questions that we wanted to know but there are others that still need answering. Dorium was funny although he was a head in a box but still alive for him to make an appearance and a new mystery that he said to the doctor The Fields of Trensalor. If that is how it is spelt

Evening guys…jeez, it shows how much i know when i’m confused by things like “lodger tardis” or how far back these arcs go 🙁 I need a sit down with one of you that knows everything lol

    So, questions for now :

1.) Christmas special i know about, will it be within this story or a stand-alone like that terrible titanic one?
    2) when, usually, do the series start…what stage is the 2012 series at in production? how do these things move…

If any1 can answer those i will reward you with 100 Internetz 😀

Disappointed. If it was the Teselecta that was shot at Lake Silencio, how did it start to regenerate ? Remember the hands started to glow – a robot wouldn’t do that no matter how good a copy it was !

Um, a robot didn’t take his place. It was always the tesselecta, always would be, always will be, we just didn’t know that

I think ‘The Doctor/Doctor’ sounds better than his actual name. If we found what his name was it would not be called Doctor WHO anymore.

    October 1st, 2011 - 9:32pm

me to didnt even think about the teselecta until i saw it in the middle of the ep disguised as the dude with the eye patch.

If amy, rory, The Doctor or a key character dies in doctor who at the end of the episode they usual say to be continued

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    October 1st, 2011 - 9:18pm

but the thing is, they showed merlin dead, then in the preview of next week they showed him alive, you have to admit that type of spoiler doesn’t happen in doctor who trailers

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

ganger doctor defo dead! he dissolved! but i agree with what you are saying!

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    October 1st, 2011 - 9:15pm

this episode was quite good, i loved the way the silence broke out, and i loved the way river and the doctor talked on the pyramid, it was quite sad. amy and rory were cool. but how did amy suddenly remembe that she and rroy were married? how did river capture kovarion? How did they create the eyepatches? what did river say to amy? the thing is, steven moffats episodes are complicated, which i like, but with the ending it was not good. i wanted to know what happened to Amy and rory! are they just gonna sit there?? i have to admit t was clever the way he was a tescelecta, BUT IF IT WAS A FIXED POINT IN TIME WHY DID A ROBOT TAKE THE DOCTORS PLACE? TIME SHOULD HAVE DISINTEGRATED!! we have all caught steven moffat out in the last 2 years, i prefer russel t, watch journeys end and then watch this, tell me, what is better?? do tell me if you agree on what i have said, i want to know your opinions!

i now understand why river know’s what the doctor looks like with out any early doctor knowing her, river’s an archeologist studying the doctor so she doesn’t need to know any of the early doctors

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    she did in the trailer

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

i think she had all the cool lines! i liked the way she was so sinister! how did river capture her?

    MY TWO PENCE WORTH

Nice explanataion of the doctors escape from death BUT……..

NO EXPLANATION OF WHO BLEW UP THE TARDIS! (yes im shouting) cause we were told that this would be explained this season. So now we have to wait ANOTHER year maybe to find out who did it, or maybe not.

All those races answered the distress call…NONE helped, (what was the point)

Time doesnt move…yet it seamed to in the story. One word is followed by another…therefore time has passed.

I had mixed feelings about the brigadier mention. (fitting tribute to a legend but but isnt he in a time machine, everyone dies to the doctor eventually. Travel 150 years into the future and everyone will have died from your starting point)
So the doctor is married now….guess someone has to repopulate the new gallifrey..lots of little time lord feet in the tardis then?

To be honest, I got what I expected. Little closure to so many unanswered questions.

    1. Who built the lodger time machine and WHY?
    2. Were the silent a race of big headed aliens or a religious order..(confusing)
    3. Ganger doctor….dead or alive?
    4. Didnt the cleric who was with river song know about rivers crime, did he not know the doctor was dead since the byzantium happened after her imprisonment? If the doctor can be found at any point BEFORE his death, it wouldnt really matter if he did die eventually cause you just would have to look for a PRE DEATH doctor like river did, All 11 regenerations of him.
    5. When was the epilogue with river and amy? after the doctor left them with a house and a car? when did amy and rory get back with the doctor for them to see his death? so the season was all mixed up. the first episode was actually at the end of the season……WHY THE CONFUSING TIMEY WIMEY CONFUSION.

I have to say this was the WORST new season of new who yet.
Ruined cybermen, confusing arcs, little resolution to those arcs.

silence did fall…on any explanation that would have left us thinking AAAHHH…I GET IT NOW.

DISAPOINTED…..but still love doctor who. You have to take the rough with the smooth

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

maybe, they are all in different time streams??

    i thought that too!

  • lepter

    October 1st, 2011 - 9:06pm

So who blew up the tardis and why?
who built the lodger tardis and why?

ALL QUESTIONS ANSWERED? I think not!

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    October 1st, 2011 - 9:06pm

    i watch merlin!

  • James of Gallifrey

    October 1st, 2011 - 9:05pm

Unfortuantly I agree, I liked him upto tonight, I thought all questions were supposed to be answered and they weren’t, still many questions remain and proably wont get answered till next year (if that), and he is ruining the show by making it confusing, I wouldn’t have minded if all questions asked got answered in the same series like the davies era but there not and it is making my head explode trying to understand it !!!!
