What Would You Like For The 50th Anniversary
What Would You Like To See For The 50th Anniversary
With the days and months ticking away to the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who what would you like to see happen to celebrate this momentous occasion.
A multi Doctor Story? Past Doctors and Companions playing other parts? anything as long as it involves Paul McGann or Doctor Who street parties perhaps?

May 29th, 2012 - 5:34pmI’d like:
the 4th, 7th, 8th, and 11th Docors
narration by Tom Baker
Daleks(as a unified army, a civil war has already been done)
a new design of Cybermen
K-9 to join the 11th Doctor in his travels
return to old places like 76 Totter’s Lane, Telos, etc.
NO return of the Time Lords or the Master(they’ve made it pretty clear we aren’t gonna see them again)

May 28th, 2012 - 12:11pmanything that dosent feature the silence is fine by me. any old monsters that featured in the 60’s and early 70’s would be nice. sontarans, daleks , cybermen, the master, zygons, silurians, the celestial toymaker- just not the silence, it was done to death in series 6. and i dont know about you, but the series 6 storyline just wasnt that great.

May 27th, 2012 - 5:53pmI think that it turns out that trenzalore is on gallerfrey and the doctor’s name is the key to some sort of device that contains every moment in time and space and the silence need to protect the universe from the worst sectrets.
crazy guy
May 27th, 2012 - 5:39pmit should have every monster in it
Gillian
May 27th, 2012 - 12:58pmWhat I would like is SM sacked and replaced by someone not obsessed by his own cleverness but has a genuine love and understanding for the show and treats the fan with the respect they deserve!
doctor who
May 26th, 2012 - 1:42pmi have a theory behind why the silents are memory proof.it think they are memory proof/erase your memory is because they are trying to guard the question.so they wipe your mind to stop the question being revealed something they are guarding and the doctor must not answer it is like a code.the question is hidden and the silents wipe your memory to stop you finding out about it

May 26th, 2012 - 3:48amI would like to see the Sonic Lipstick Re-Released because I’m sure it would have become more popular. And, like me, I’m sure some people didn’t like SJA when the Lipstick first came out and if it was to be re-released I’m sure it would be bought.
Does anyone agree with me?

May 25th, 2012 - 8:40pmWe need a season long (or half season at the very least) rip roaring adventure thru the Doctor’s – and the Series’ – rich and varied past. Matt is one of the best actors to play the part, and can deliver the wide range of emotions we need to become truly pulled into this epic of all epic journeys. We also know River has implied she has met all the Doctors incarnations (whether he realized it or not) and in K9 we have a classic companion that hasn’t aged…so The Moff invents some urgent mystery which can only be solved by the Doctor searching through his own past, and Alex Kingston as River (tho River of course could be in many guises if need be – giving new relevance to any number of background or.minor characters from past adventures) together with K9 to “sniff” out the anomalies take a fantastic voyage thru the Doctor’s past lives and adventures. In other words, keys scenes from previous adventures will be merged with new storylines and Doctor 11, River! And K9 inserted via CGI into these past scenes that long time fans know oh too well (and will get a special thrill spotting the changes!) while new fans will be treated to a new perspective of the show’s unrivaled history and depth. The merging of classic scenes, new filmed action, CGI, doppelgänger costumes and sets to seamlesslessly blend all eras of Who together in one massive thrilling extravaganza!
Also, this is a fantastic opportunity to finally get some new 8th Doctor scenes on film – Paul McGann willing of course – as his scenes can be newly filmed (especially if there’s any rights issues with the Fox movie being used). Also, the past Doctors still with us can lend their voice and acting talents to help “alter time” by making scenes subtly different to what we know and remember as the Doctor tries desperately to discover the secret lurking in his own past. And River will finally meet all the past Doctors, something that has been implied but now confirmed. And how fantastic will it be to see Alex Kingstong in costumes for past Who slipping into the various adventures and cultures and alien worlds of Who history? And bouncing around thru time would give an opportunity to revisit old enemies and (literally) old friends as we see some of them in the past episode scenes and some of those In their present to clarify something about those long ago times – so much potential here and technique used in various other films and series (Forest Gump, ST DS9 Tribble Tribute epi to name a couple that were fantastic but let’s see the Who take on this theme and see the limits to all time pushed and stretched and broken like never before! This would truly be the defining celebration of the best that Who has to offer, and give new fans a glimpse of the past like never before, and showing that Who is the same series despite being so very different. A wonderful challenge for Steven Moffat and crew, and a brilliant tribute and journey for fans new and old, and everywhere in between. This simply must be done, even if for only a 2 hour special, but preferably a multi episode storyline to give each era of Who it’s own Time in the 50th Anniversary Spotlight! No wonder The Moff said they needed so much prep time for production work – but will be worth it and anticipated by fans like no other special ever could be. Scarves, bow ties, tin dogs, sonic screwdrivers and fingers crossed this is part of the celebrations! 🙂

May 25th, 2012 - 12:22amYes, all the Doctors and all the Companions (probably have to be multi-part). I realize not everyone is still with us ;-( , but they can do wonderful things with CGI these days!

May 24th, 2012 - 7:55pmMore Matt Smith. More posters/photos/interviews/tv appearances on talk shows. Just more Matt !! We have so much promised in the past which has not been delivered. I can trust Mr Moffat to write brilliant scripts, and the cast and crew to deliver. The publicity is another story. It is rubbish.
Nancy
May 24th, 2012 - 7:54pmA lot more publicity for Matt Smith. More interviews, tv appearances, more posters, more pictures, more Matt !! Enuff of all the talk talk talk and promises that turn out not be realised.

May 23rd, 2012 - 7:18ami think Terrence Dicks should write alongside moffat as Moffat is good for the new series but Dicks could write for the old doctors in it!
TheWhomobile
May 22nd, 2012 - 8:17pmI’m not saying Moffat is a bad writer, I just think it would be nice to see Terrence Dicks back to write for the series. He did such a good job in the classic series and in the Pertwee era, the 50th seems like a good opportunity for him to return.
the astronaut of death
May 22nd, 2012 - 7:54pmi think moffat is a brilliant writer and i would love moffat to write the 50th

i would actually like that to be the actual plot

May 22nd, 2012 - 6:26pmThey can’t really do anything other than the eleven doctors because it’s what the series has always done and is somewhat of a tradition. Athough I don’t think it should be written by Moffat. Instead they should try and get Terrance Dicks to do it as he’d make a good job of it. I think he should already have been asked back to write for the series.
doctor who
May 22nd, 2012 - 6:07pmthe final hours and the fall of the eleventh dawns upon the universe as the doctor recruits eleven doctors and the greatest heroes to face the full power of the order of the silence.as an alliance of the universes greatest heroes come together, the doctor knows he must face his ultimate fate.the thing that scares him the most.as an alliance of heroes march to war against the silence to trenzalore, the mad man in a box knows it’s his time.time to tell the truth, the truth he fears the most, the truth in room 11[theory]his true identity, his name, the most dangerous secret in all the universe gathers as armies wage war across trenzalore, gallifrey and earth.but why is his identity so dangerous and just what is the true plan of the leaders of the silence[the silents, memory proof beings]it seems history has caught up with the doctor as the truth of the time lords is coming and the truth of the doctor himself.
doctor who
May 22nd, 2012 - 5:55pmthe trickster scares me especially when doing an evil laugh.i would like the idea but maybe use the silence to trap him to stop the question.

May 21st, 2012 - 3:08pmI have no oppinion really on what should be done, as long as its awesome and epic. Having the Doctor stop the Daleks kill his first incarnation during the first ever story would be cool. Seeing the 11th (possibly the 11th will still be there at the time) in 1963 with the original TARDIS and Daleks would look cool.
