Hell Bent Saturday 5th December 8.00 – 9.05PM
If you took everything from him, betrayed him, trapped him, and broke both his hearts…how far might the Doctor go?
Returning to Gallifrey, the Doctor faces the Time Lords in a struggle that will take him to the end of time itself. Who is the Hybrid? And what is the Doctor’s confession?
Writer / Steven Moffat
Director / Rachel Talalay
Producer / Peter Bennett

December 5th, 2015 - 3:01pmI don’t want to get to excited or anything but if past things are coming back. And Gallifrey is coming back then maybe his family and granddaughter are coming. Also I agree that the doctor is one of three in the part of the hybrid. But when he ran away he also accidentally made the hybrid. When he says the hybrid is me,he doesn’t mean himself he means the girl me.

December 3rd, 2015 - 4:54pmThis will be the 11th Time Lord story since 1969’s ‘The War Games’, or 10th if you don’t count the mini-sode ‘The Last Day’, but I count it as it’s a terrific little story and don’t have the heart to leave it out.
The War Games [1969]
The Three Doctors [1972 / 73]
The Deadly Assassin [1976]
The Invasion of Time [1978]
Arc of Infinity [1983]
The Five Doctors [1983]
The Trial of a Time Lord [1986]
The End of Time [2009 / 2010]
The Last Day [2013]
The Day of the Doctor [2013]
Hell Bent [2015]
Deliberately left out last weekends ‘Heaven Sent’ because you don’t really see any Time Lords [other then the Doctor himself] in that episode.
Hopefully with them and Gallifrey freed from the parallel pocket universe this Saturday, we will be treated to no doubt more Time Lord adventures in the years to come 🙂

November 21st, 2015 - 9:54pmThere are a number of continuing plot threads which I expect will be resolved here, including:
Confession, Ashildr, Gallifrey, Hybrid, Clara
I expect many surprise returns and cameos; An image of Ohila was in DWM but what of those individuals who were last seen left on Gallifrey? Ashildr’s story feels like it will get closure and Kelly Hunter’s cameo in episode 1 shows that she, and likewise others, may well return.

November 20th, 2015 - 12:20amCan this please be the Valeyard’s origins and losing Clara is what drives him to put himself on trial on Gallifrey! I mean he was said to be an amalgamation of the dark side of the doctor, maybe this hybrid will be just that?
The Moffat Paradox
November 17th, 2015 - 11:07pmAre we going to also maybe see an effective continuation of TWF with Daleks,Davros and Missy thrown into the mix?

November 19th, 2015 - 3:49pmMoffat has made Dr Who just too complicated. Why can’t he stop trying to be so clever. Let’s have simpler stories like those from Tom Baker era.
The Moffat Paradox
November 20th, 2015 - 2:39pmNothing necessarily wrong with interweaving plots and story arcs leading up to something for as long as there isn’t a resort to too much timey wimey and that the only person who can really understand what is going on isn’t just Moffat himself.

November 14th, 2015 - 5:24pmhis confession will only open when he’s dead

November 16th, 2015 - 10:40pmI bet his confession is something silly and timey wimey like “Gallifreyan never existed and the doctors actually a half human/half time lord – hybrid!”

November 18th, 2015 - 8:02amMaybe when he regenerates the confession box will open…
Davrosdestroyer
November 21st, 2015 - 9:08pmanon-that is actually a good theory but not so much on the half human-timelord part.
Peking Homunculus
November 14th, 2015 - 3:29amThe Doctor did leave because he wanted adventure, but it was also because he disagreed with the pervasive views of the leadership on Gallifrey at that time, particularly their nonintervention policies.
Peking Homunculus
November 14th, 2015 - 3:33amPerhaps his confession is that he was in fact the Other, one of the three founding members of Time Lord society alongside Rassilon and Omega?

December 1st, 2015 - 10:59pmWell, we now know that Darvros was right. He did run because he was afraid of his part in the coming of the hybrid. He admitted it in ‘Heaven Sent’. Canon now. Boom.
Doctor Stu
November 13th, 2015 - 11:51pmMaybe Clara dies in next weeks episode and the week after the doctor is alone trying to come to terms with it. and then in the final week he tracks down an echo of Clara in American and as the original Clara is now dead the echoes are slowly fading away and vanishing from time and he’s trying his best to avoid grieving and trying to grasp onto the last remements of Clara before she essentially disappears altogether
Doctor Stu
November 13th, 2015 - 11:53pmOr maybe we’ll get a flash back to the impossible astronaut in the diner and discover that an echo of Clara was actually the waitress and this version of Clara is another version who ‘looks after the Doctor’ when she jumped into his time stream. His death was a big moment and Clara did say ‘she was born to save the Doctor’ I think I’m taking this too deep
The Fez Master
November 14th, 2015 - 3:27pmThat’s a good idea – only fault I can think is if the echoes fade away, they won’t be able to save the Doctor?
KiekElam
November 15th, 2015 - 6:51amWhy would her echoes fade away when she dies. It’s not as if she is erased from time, she just dies. She would still have jumed into the Doctor’s time stream. Why would her echoes suddenly disappear?

November 29th, 2015 - 9:42am‘The hybrid is me!’
Maybe he doesn’t mean himself, maybe he means Lady Me/Mayor Me, she’s certainly not fully human anymore and the doctor said its not part Dalek because a Dalek would never allow it
Food for thought

November 13th, 2015 - 12:02pmI’m nervous on this one – I hope they haven’t changed the reason why the Doctor left Gallifrey , Will Timothy Dalton show his face? My guess for the hybrid…I don’t know – maybe it will just be confirmation that the Doctor is half human/half timelord.

November 13th, 2015 - 12:04pmdidn’t you watch the witch’s familiar?

November 13th, 2015 - 12:58pmI don’t want them to change the reason he left as well – that’s one of the things I like about the Doctor that he was a free spirit who wanted to escape the boredom/authority of his home planet. I read DWM yesterday and Steven Moffat talks about the 1st doctor not really being the doctor cos hes a cantankerous old git so if the Doctors confession was that he helped create the hybrid then this would fit into why when we first meet the Doctor he’s not a very nice character and the reason he sticks with earth people because they are the ones that taught him how to become the Doctor – Ian Chesterton was more of a hero in the early days.

November 13th, 2015 - 1:02pmMy thought was Davros and we would see him walking dressed as a time-lord
