Doctor Who Press launch Matt Smith interview
Tonight sees the press launch of the new series of Doctor Who and BBC news showed a short interview with Matt Smith along with our first Proper look at the new Doctor. There will be much more to follow in the coming days.

I carnt wait till the new series !!! … if u listen really carefully you can hear the new theme music but iv got 2 admit that it does sound similar however I did notice some new parts to the theme

I agree with TC. We r now in the matt smith era, we`ve moved on from tennant (as much as he was my favourite) and im sure matt will be amazing according to the clip.

After seeing the clip i am much more settled about Matt Smith, really looking forward to seeing how this pans out.

Great interview. I just wish people would quit asking “How does it feel to follow David Tennant?” As much as I love David’s Doctor, he isn’t the ultimate yard stick by which everything should be judged. Even he had to live up to the expectations laid by nine other actors before him. Give Matt some room, people.
And that clip makes me even more eager to see the new season!
