Steven Moffat recently said in an intrview:

“The last of the daleks are up to something… in their lone ship, a few survivors are planning something huge.. they, are creating a brand new dalek army.a completely new version of dalek. But theres a twist, its not called victory of the daleks for nothing, oh no, they WILL WIN.”

Yeah, I like the idea of the Daleks, but it’s too soon! They always pop up right at the end and make a mess of things.

I was right. I knew the ‘old friend’ who called on the Doctor would be Churchill. It’s nice to have a historical figure the Doctor’s actually met before (rather than meeting for the first time as it’s been in all the other guest historicals).

And the plot definitely looks like a new series take on Power of the Daleks, with the Daleks pretending to be helpful to mankind while hiding their own agenda. I’m really looking forward to this one.

i think that davros is back and has made an offer with churchill……saying to win this war u will need daleks that are stronger than the other armys in the world……….but then davros breaks the promise with churchill and trys to take over the world…………i think that would make a realli gd story………lol

that pic with the doctor and the model dalek i think the bbc just took a toy dalek and painted it

  34. Posted by: Hector Sadler April 2nd, 2010 Reply

Every Doctor in the past had to meet Daleks. Starting with 4th Doctor (Tom Baker) Devros in the excluding. Well Doctor Who fans wanted the Daleks to return. That most fun in the DR.Who series.

  35. Posted by: tardis April 2nd, 2010 Reply

winston churchill will be helping the daleks but then may be killed but that will be reversed by the dr.

  36. Posted by: Mike Yates April 1st, 2010 Reply

I really hope this will be a new series “classic” like genesis of the original series

Is there going to be a union jack coloured Dalek?

  37. Posted by: liam April 1st, 2010 Reply

the doctor plan to detory the dalek and amity fight it

  38. Posted by: Will April 1st, 2010 Reply

I like the look of these camo daleks but i hope they continue to have those cool shiny gold ones. i hope the grey dalek is a renegade or something so we can see the eye candy of another dalek war!

  39. Posted by: TC April 1st, 2010 Reply

I wasn’t too keen on the Daleks coming back at first because they’ve been used so much in the last few seasons, especially in most of the finales. But I’m actually looking forward to this one because it seems like a good stand-alone Dalek story with no larger connections to the Time War story.

And I think the ‘old friend’ will be Churchill. I doubt it would be Nancy from TEC/TDD. How would a homeless girl know anything about a secret military project?

Then again, we’ll see what happens when it broadcasts.

  40. Posted by: Callum Metcalfe April 1st, 2010 Reply

Maybe the old friend is Nancy from The Empty Child because she is rumored to appear in an episode

  41. Posted by: dr what April 1st, 2010 Reply

the daleks are invented by a human so they wont remember the doctor

  42. Posted by: King Ninja April 1st, 2010 Reply

In the last picture I wonder if they are excpecting someone (or something) to appear out of that glowing “doorway”. Is Davros back, perhaps? Or what…?

  43. Posted by: EXTERMINATE! April 1st, 2010 Reply

I belive that the daleks will threaten the whole the world with a secret power. Prisoners will be: Winston Churchill, Amy Pond, the Doctor, and EARTH!

  44. Posted by: DoctorWhoBBC April 1st, 2010 Reply

“The Doctor has been summoned by an old friend”

I wonder who the old friend is…

I hope their not classing the Daleks as old friends.

  45. Posted by: Doctor Who April 1st, 2010 Reply

I have really high hopes for this episode, i really hope its as good as it looks

  46. Posted by: BooBoo April 1st, 2010 Reply

  47. Posted by: the 1st doctor April 1st, 2010 Reply

Is that Winston Churchill in the third picture~?

  48. Posted by: BooBoo April 1st, 2010 Reply

I believe its the “Victory” supreme Dalek….. But there is much more than just this

  49. Posted by: derek April 1st, 2010 Reply

Is that dalek with the new eyestalk an imperial dalek , a supreame dalek or an emperor dalek?

  50. Posted by: the 1st doctor April 1st, 2010 Reply

    No its an estimate.
The episode should be sometime in between.

  51. Posted by: Unit Hq April 1st, 2010 Reply

Its over an hour long according to that?
