Backstage, Ian McNeice captures the essence of Winston Churchill on the screen and we find out how Mark went about writing the man behind the myth. Narrated by Alex Price.

April 10th, 2010 - 8:02pmI was right. I knew the ‘old friend’ who called on the Doctor would be Churchill. It’s nice to have a historical figure the Doctor’s actually met before (rather than meeting for the first time as it’s been in all the other guest historicals).
And the plot definitely looks like a new series take on Power of the Daleks, with the Daleks pretending to be helpful to mankind while hiding their own agenda. I’m really looking forward to this one.
