It’ll be sad to see them go but on the other hand they’ll probably return for the 50th anniversary so it wont be the last we see of the ponds. and i’m almost certain steven won’t write them out for good … will he? … MOFFAT!

Amy and Rory were good companion, but we’ve all got to move on from taht like when matt smith came on our screens after the fantastic David Tennant, which was sad at first, but good at the same time.

It’s sad they’re leaving but it will be their thord series, so they have been some of the longest rinning companions. It’s sad they’re going but good that we’re going to get a new companion. Also, it’s good River will be back!

They will be back from time to time. There is the 50th anniversary show in under 2 years time to look forward to. Some previous companions always pop back into the doctors life through most of his incarnations. 🙂
Its always exciting to see someone new come on board the tardis.

Not really. Anjli Mahindra (Rani in SJA) was good for SJA, however. The character would be very weird in comparison with the doctor. And anyway, SJA was only 12 episodes a year, only working in Jan-Apr (ish). If she did Doctor Who, she would be working all year round, and maybe she is too young for the TARDIS! Back in 2009/2010, we listed Matt Smith as the Baby of the TARDIS. If he was the baby of the TARDIS, she wouldn’t even be born (in comparison). That’s my opinion anyway

Just come back from half day at school. In maths we had a quiz and I mumbled which tv character was confirmed as leaving today? someone heard me and they got it right. Nice to know there are still more fans at my school.

Well it’s been a great two years but I don’t think they will die I think they’ll be written out in a suitable way. They will probably have a cameo appearance in the 50th anniversary and then they will just slowly fade away.

    December 16th, 2011 - 9:38am

I will miss them…but its important to keep the show fresh. When Rose left I thought she would be missed but within 10 mins of Smith and Jones, it was a case of “Rose who…?”

Sorry to hear Karen and Arthur are leaving. May not be killed off. Remember everyone thought Rose would die when Billie Piper left.
I nominate Anjli Mohindra for next companion, who’s with me

  • I am the doctor

He is probably going to kill them rather than them just leave.
I think it would be better if they died because the Doctor loves Amy so much

after 2 years i think it is time for amy and rory to leave. I liked how they stayed for more than one year so that doctor who is variable and I liked the way they left in the god complex and the weeding of river song. but i really wish they didn’t come back in series 7. plus i don’t like having a sad ending to companions and now, moffat is probably going to kill off amy and rory just so they don’t come back! 🙁

Ohhhh, so sad. i loved amy and rory. rory was the funniest one ever! 🙁
