They did, well kinda, they kept having cameos in the episodes but at the end of the christmas special the doctor went to their house, had christmas dinner and now they are returning to the TARDIS, but the doctor still hasn’t found Melody.

But his schedule is already full for next year, he’s hoping to get another episode, but even then it’s just one more.

I agree, she should do one or maybe two episodes a season. Last season was in danger of becoming the River Song show at one point !

Don’t worry there is still a chance Rory could come back after he leaves, although it would be without Amy. He always has his daughter as a reason to return.

Moffat hasn’t said anything, Karen Gillan has said she isn’t coming back though.

Nothing about Arthur Darvill though, maybe Rory will be revealed as the Master, it would certainly explain the continuous come backs from death, even when it’s impossible to do so.

Not exactly, he said he wouldn’t say whether or not they could come back because that could give away the means in which they leave. Obviously though, killing them off is a possible scenario (one that netter NOT happen).

The first thing you think when he says “heartbreaking” is their death and Moffat knows this. He may be trying to be crafty, or (going by some his Doctor Who plots), it may as simple as you think it is.

The series has not exactly dumbed down since Russell T. Davies left – the Melody Pond story arc is one of the most confusing things the series has ever done. And as for ‘kiddiefying’ the show, just think about the Silence. The fact that you cannot remember them and that they have influenced everything we have ever done is a very’adult’ concept. Amy shooting a child in a spacesuit would have scared a lot of children because someone you trust shooting a child completely destroys any faith you have in them. There is an awful lot more innuendo in the series now as well, having a married couple in the TARDIS. here are some examples:
AMY: I thought I was an excellent pirate.
RORY: I thought you were an excellent nurse.

RORY: You should have told me, I’m a nurse, I’m good with pregnancies.
AMY: Not, as it turns out, that good.

RORY: Doctor, do you have a room?

VASTRA: I am trying to be delicate, I know how you can blush.
    (DORIUM chuckles.)
VASTRA: When did this baby… Begin?
    DOCTOR: Oh, you meen…
    VASTRA: Quite.

RORY: Do you mind not flirting with me? you’re old enough to be my mum.
OLD AMY: Don’t be coy now. I’ve known you all my life, how many games of Doctors and Nurses?

It’s just dirty. And anyone dares to say it’s too childish?

I’m sad Rory’s going! I’m not a massive fan of Amy, she’s just a bit too cocky.

They killed off Peri. Sort of because then they brought her back and married her to Brian Blessed. Poor Peri.

I hope they don’t think that the Eternity Clock can be counted as the next Adventure Game.

They did promise two adventure games this year and there has only been one so far. Unless they count the Gunpowder Plot as a two parter…
