Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Read through Finished

50th Anniversary Read-through finished – with a picture many of you would be hoping you would see…

From the official site…

The read through for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary special took place earlier this evening, Monday, 1 April.

Current Doctor Matt Smith was joined by David Tennant and many more familiar faces including Jenna-Louise Coleman (Clara) and Doctor Who’s head writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat.

Over the weekend we confirmed that David Tennant and Billie Piper would both be returning to the show for the eagerly anticipated 50th anniversary special. We also revealed that screen legend John Hurt would also feature in the adventure.

The episode’s production continues all this week and we’ll be bringing you more news very soon…

Yea, but it wasn’t sn april fools, it was there. Plus there were LOADS of classic daleks, they were just hugrely underused… seriously, look at this sites spottings of classic daleks, they should have done more than sit in the background doing nothing.

Must be quite weird for David Tennant returning to the role of the Doctor…but not really being the star of the show anymore.

the BBC have a habitt of using april fools day as a advantage. They know that everyone will just says its an april fools day joke, wich is why they put up great news. Yes, it is an april fools joke, because they are saying your a fool for not beliving it! Last april fools day they released the picture of matt and karen next to the classic dalek and everyone said it was fake 😀 so this is almost definatly NOT FAKE!

Looking forward on seeing Tennant back for the 50th! Although I didn’t really care about Billie Piper, if I’m honest, for me the special could do without her.

He will never return Doctor 4131, his made it perfectly clear that he never want’s to return after leaving in the end of series 1 [yet clearly no one ever get’s the hint when he says ‘I’m not coming back to Doctor Who’ or anything of the sort, so why fan’s keep going on about Chris coming back is pretty much damn pointless].

  • Doctor4131

    April 2nd, 2013 - 8:20am

so is christopher eccelston returning or was that an april fools?

  • Doctor4131

    April 2nd, 2013 - 8:14am

well it could be rose before she got sent to the paralell universe with the 10th doctor. like they did in the 2 doctors with the 2nd doctor and jamie. i hope its not the human doctor.

Lol blue amends refers to amendments to the script, it’s not the name of the episode! The actual name will be more exciting than that, I’m sure! 🙂
