If you took everything from him, betrayed him, trapped him, and broke both his hearts…how far might the Doctor go?

Returning to Gallifrey, the Doctor faces the Time Lords in a struggle that will take him to the end of time itself. Who is the Hybrid? And what is the Doctor’s confession?

Nothing necessarily wrong with interweaving plots and story arcs leading up to something for as long as there isn’t a resort to too much timey wimey and that the only person who can really understand what is going on isn’t just Moffat himself.

Can this please be the Valeyard’s origins and losing Clara is what drives him to put himself on trial on Gallifrey! I mean he was said to be an amalgamation of the dark side of the doctor, maybe this hybrid will be just that?

Moffat has made Dr Who just too complicated. Why can’t he stop trying to be so clever. Let’s have simpler stories like those from Tom Baker era.

Maybe when he regenerates the confession box will open…

Are we going to also maybe see an effective continuation of TWF with Daleks,Davros and Missy thrown into the mix?

I bet his confession is something silly and timey wimey like “Gallifreyan never existed and the doctors actually a half human/half time lord – hybrid!”

Why would her echoes fade away when she dies. It’s not as if she is erased from time, she just dies. She would still have jumed into the Doctor’s time stream. Why would her echoes suddenly disappear?

his confession will only open when he’s dead

That’s a good idea – only fault I can think is if the echoes fade away, they won’t be able to save the Doctor?

Perhaps his confession is that he was in fact the Other, one of the three founding members of Time Lord society alongside Rassilon and Omega?

The Doctor did leave because he wanted adventure, but it was also because he disagreed with the pervasive views of the leadership on Gallifrey at that time, particularly their nonintervention policies.

Or maybe we’ll get a flash back to the impossible astronaut in the diner and discover that an echo of Clara was actually the waitress and this version of Clara is another version who ‘looks after the Doctor’ when she jumped into his time stream. His death was a big moment and Clara did say ‘she was born to save the Doctor’ I think I’m taking this too deep

Maybe Clara dies in next weeks episode and the week after the doctor is alone trying to come to terms with it. and then in the final week he tracks down an echo of Clara in American and as the original Clara is now dead the echoes are slowly fading away and vanishing from time and he’s trying his best to avoid grieving and trying to grasp onto the last remements of Clara before she essentially disappears altogether

Didn’t Davros’s command ship fly into the jaws of the nightmare child; is this child” the hybrid The Doctor fears ?

I hope the Hybrid is actually a new thing rather than the episode having a deep ‘the doctor is actually the hybrid’ moment

I don’t want them to change the reason he left as well – that’s one of the things I like about the Doctor that he was a free spirit who wanted to escape the boredom/authority of his home planet. I read DWM yesterday and Steven Moffat talks about the 1st doctor not really being the doctor cos hes a cantankerous old man so if the Doctors confession was that he helped create the hybrid then this would fit into why when we first meet the Doctor he’s not a very nice character and the reason he sticks with earth people because they are the ones that taught him how to become the Doctor – Ian Chesterton was more of a hero in the early days.

My thought was Davros and we would see him walking dressed as a time-lord

I’m nervous on this one – I hope they haven’t changed the reason why the Doctor left Gallifrey , Will Timothy Dalton show his face? My guess for the hybrid…I don’t know – maybe it will just be confirmation that the Doctor is half human/half timelord.
