I have never been obsessed about going through and re-watching all of the previous episodes in prep for a finale before.

I see that I am not the only one too. I founf this very interesting and worth posting here; the following comment is from a member of Digital Spy’s DW forum,

“Something odd about Rory’s hospital ID Badge – look at this pic…
It says it was ‘issued’ on 30/11/1990

How can that be?? Thats 20 years ago…??

Thats more closer to his DOB surely??

    any ideas??

check the pic out and lets hear your theories….

where were the slitheen, it said they were in it, but they never showed :(!
i think they made this episode to get use of the costumes,
but tbh all the characters must be rather stupid not to no there weakness’s by now like the slitheen if they attacked by vingar they blow up, well why cant they make them better they did with the cybermen, like letting them build themself back togther,
and the soltarnis, they must have been hit on the back of the head soo much they must have noticed it does something.

…Pressure must of been on for the new DW producers to make series 5 climax to top David Tennants Christmas exit and also Tennants season 4 getting zapped by a dalek/ regeneration cliff hanger.
My bet is whatever transpires by the end of Saturday’s episode 13, will set the tone for the Christmas special and series 6. Moffat has always delivered the best and original scripted episodes from all of the series since 2005. So I’m expecting the not so obvious kind of ending that leaves a few unanswered questions…
Mind you, you get the feeling that this story could of been an excellent set-up to a special doctor who special where all the recent doctors are could have reunited to stop this alien alliance and save their 11th self from the box contraption which looks like a dentists chair from hell! Mind you there’s no chance of Christopher Eccleston reprising his 9th role, and I get the feeling David Tennant will return for a guest appearance in the future to boost ratings.
Unless its an evil version of the doctor whats behind all of this (like from the Trial of the Timelords storyline) or even the Master???

And where were the plastic wheelie bins from Episode ‘Rose’ in the alien alliance????

it could have been river song, but what does the doctor do to the pandorica

I think that that’s true about River. Her story might not be as simple as we think but she doesn’t know about her future encounters with the Doctor, for example, in “Flesh and Stone”,which is, as I undrstand it, after “The Pandorica Opens” for her in a strict linear sense, even if it isn’t for Amy or the Doctor. I can’t make my mind up about River’s character either, as in whether I like her or not…hmmm…
That aside, I have to agree with the comment below. River might play a key part in Saturday’s episode but she isn’t as all-knowing as some people think.

why do people keep talking about river like she knows everything, rivers life runs in a straight line, birth to death, the dr appears at diffrent points in that line, he also ages, so river in this episode has no idea what is going on, or how it will end, now the fact that the dr has met her twice post pandorical shows that he will get out of this, and will solve it all, however there is the question of where is the diary, which suggests the diary might be post pandorical. So saying river must know the future cos she kills herself makes no sense, when she killed herself she knew all the great things the dr would do in his life. But that was river maybe a few years after the pandorical. At this point she knows only what he has done so far in her timeline,

now on the prisoner 0 voice part, william wilde did prisinor 0’s voice, he is not in the credits for the pandorica, or the big bang episodes.

If you look on IMDB there is a character list for the big bang http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1607759/. There is a character listed as the time lady played by joanna page, this is different to the actress playing amy’s aunt, so amy’s aunt is not the time lady. T his of course doesnt mean she isnt a time lady. van gough, churchill andliz 10 are also listed for the big bang. if davros was going to be in this episode it would have leaked, remember we all knew davros was coming back way before he did at the end of tennants episode. On wikipedia omega is listed as a character in the big bang hence which adds to the evidence he is the one behind it all.

Phillip madoc is also listed as appearing in this episode, for those who remember the old series he appeared as a baddie 4 times opposite troughton and baker, always a different character, but always a bad guy. This again suggests the main baddie will be a male character, which again points to omega. ok I dont think there is anything else I can dig up online at the mo, if anyone else can find somthing let us know, but I think the evidence is pointing to a big new bad guy coming, and like I say the hints point to either omega, or someone brand new.
