If we’re talking about the worst then IMO The Doctor The Widow And The Wardrobe wins hands down.Too schmaltzy for me when Disney et al have that covered at that time of year.Dont we want life the universe and everything to be more at stake for a Christmas Special before we’ve finished the last mince pie for the day?

  • The Moffat Paradox

Probably be neither but I am ALL for bringing back what I consider to be the REAL Silurians whiich is not the Madam Vastra variety.

Well at least it’s not called Last Christmas of the Doctor or something to that affect! Also love Peter Capaldis new costume.

  • The Moffat Paradox

Last years because it was more like a proper episode which tied up the loose ends from Matt Smiths time in the Tardis without seeming TOO Christmassy.

    November 25th, 2014 - 6:59pm

    The Runaway Bride.

BTW I think Santa Claus might turn out to be Time Lord! Not a bad one of course, a good one

Short Synopsis: The Doctor and Clara face their Last Christmas. Trapped on an Arctic base, under attack from terrifying creatures, who are you going to call? Santa Claus!

I wonder who the villian is? George Michael?? lol

  • CJ

    November 25th, 2014 - 3:35pm

The question is, a last Christmas for who exactly?

  • Tardisn’t

    November 25th, 2014 - 3:28pm

Looking forward to this one, I’m hoping for Ice Warriors or Sea Devils as the villain, and I actually think Nick Frost is prefect to play Santa Clause!

  • MrHaloWho

    November 25th, 2014 - 3:27pm

OK, I guess Time Of The Doctor hasn’t been used before, but why would it? After The Name of the Doctor, The Night of the Doctor and the Day of the Doctor.

  • MrHaloWho

    November 25th, 2014 - 3:26pm

The End Of Time (because time ends when Tenant leaves the show)
A Christmas Carol (Totally unrelated to Dickens’ book. Of course.)
The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe (Nothing like the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.)
The Snowmen (an episode centred on Clara and the Doctor is called the Snowmen)
Last Christmas (I gave you one of my hearts, the very next day, you put it in VanStaten’s museum)

    Not exactly original, are they?

    November 25th, 2014 - 3:24pm

Last Christmas, I gave you my hearts. The very same day, you regenerated.

  • MrHaloWho

    November 25th, 2014 - 3:22pm

But the Doctor has two hearts.

  • MrHaloWho

    November 25th, 2014 - 3:21pm

Oh, how original. Must have taken YEARS to think of that title.

Why would it be set last Christmas? Why not the one coming up in 30 days?

    November 25th, 2014 - 2:13pm

I hope it’s like the snowmen, good plot, monsters, Christmassy and not like carol or wardrobe, that just bored me.
also, watched voyage of the damned yesterday and I still love it!

I think it might refer to Final Christmas….rather than Previous Christmas…..deliberately ambiguous, me thinks.

Last Christmas is quite clever really. From the song.

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart. But the very next day you gave it away. Maybe it has something to do with the relationship between The Doctor and Clara..

“Last Christmas”? Seriously? Its like they’re not even trying anymore. Lets just hope the episode is a LOT better than “The Doctor, the Widow and the Wardrobe”.
