What did you Think of A Town Called Mercy?

What did you Think of A Town Called Mercy?

The third episode of series 7a has aired so what did you think?, was it the best episode ever or just average.

The Doctor gets a Stetson (and a gun!), and finds himself the reluctant Sheriff of a Western town under siege by a relentless cyborg, who goes by the name of the Gunslinger.

But who is he and what does he want? The answer seems to lie with the mysterious Kahler-Jex, an alien doctor (yes another one!) whose initial appearance is hiding a dark secret.

A Town called mercy was good but not overly brilliant so far i am sorry to say it is on the bottom of the list of best Series 7 episodes at this point just below Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, i don’t know why but it just didn’t ‘do’ anything for me, for some reason the threat of Kahler-Jex was slowly dull to me, the Gunslinger was boring and didn’t do much except teleport, point guns at people, kill Isaac, threaten little girls, and stand watching people, he hardly even talked, the Doctor changed character so much in the episode it was difficult to keep track of what he was really supposed to feel, Amy and Rory hardly did anything and it was weird that they were there just to get kidnapped, run away from gun-fire, walk after people and ask questions, so after further adue i rate this episode: 4/10 as most of it let it down and the only good thing was the music from Murray Gold and the performance by Matt Smith, also do i need to get into the dull character of Isaac who only seemed to be in the episode for 5 minutes then we were supposed to feel sorry for him when he was stupid enough to jump in front of a futuristic alien gun blast?

I think it may well have been the best episode of the 2012 series so far !

It deliverd on it’s promises unlike Asylum, and it worked better than episode 2.

    Really enjoyed it. 🙂
