Seb said : ‘Am I ok to say SQUEE!?!?!?’ then Missy blew him up.

I think Clara has been brilliant in this series.

What did Seb say before he died?

Sorry folks – WORST – FINALE – EVER.

Missy is not the Master. No real explanation was given to confirm she was, so no, she was not the Master, I don’t have to believe she is, no one has too believe she is.

Like I said last weekend, the whole Missy is the Master thing just smacks of desperation for people who want a female Doctor so badly which is NEVER going to happen.

I’m not sexist, but having the Doctor suddenly developing ‘lady parts’ is a bad idea when you know that would obviously be having fun playing with himself if you get what I mean.

I’m not against the idea of a female Doctor IF it turned out a female Doctor was not a future version of our Doctor, but a parallel universe incarnation of him where the Doctor has always been female instead, played by actresses Wilma Hartnell, Pamela Troughton, Joanna Pertwee and the like in a parallel universe, that wouldn’t bother me in that respect, but as a future version of our Doctor, no, bad idea, don’t do ever do it.

But so was Clara, and Courtney, and the Paternoster Gang, and River Song, and … shall I go on. All rubbish, and none of them die … shame really.

Or perhaps the Time Lords find him.

I mean missy regenerated to look like the brigadiers daughter

Was not Danny and clara’s great great grandson in an earlier episode with reflections back to clara’s time? and if that is true, how come Danny is now somewhere else? (not quiet dead perhaps).

    Loved the missy character

Lethbridge stuart character was unnecessary unless it was not him at all and we are led to believe it. After all it was assumed and not confirmed that it was.

It may as well possibly been missy regenerated. Often the doctor has taken faces from his earlier encounters.

Galifrey is at those co ordinates but still Locked into another dimension

I actually rather enjoyed the episode.
Cyberman or not, the Brigadier just shot the Master from beyond the grave. As far as the emotional issues the Doctor and Clara are hiding, that’s evidence of the intention of future character development, something which irritating critics often complain is absent. Not all of the Doctor’s companions can be perfect, particularly if they are chosen for him by the Master.

So what do you people think now?

    1. She threatened to destroy all of the tardis keys

    2. She tried to blackmail the Doctor into changing history

    3. The Doctor was on a crashing plane and she tried to force him to do “only what she wanted” , “come take the chip out of Danny or I wont talk to you”.

    4. She was going to make the Doctor murder Missy. I found myself wanting to see the Master, more than I wanted to see Clara.

Combine all of this with the fact that she’s not interesting, she’s not endearing, she’s shallow, she’s not Amy, Rose, Donna, River, Martha or even Sarah Jane for crying out loud.

Capaldi is great … but Clara is all over the place. She has yet to do something to make me say “Wow she’s brilliant” … if they had kept her as a computer genius then maybe, but the Doctor acts as if she is his heart and soul. We have yet to see her do something worthy of that admiration.

Just whine, whine, whine, cry, try to be bossy like Donna, think I love him like Rose and Martha and not look anywhere near as hot as Amy!

And I’m all for strong women… My mother is strong woman. But Clara is not strong, she is arrogant. She has not been helpful in a while, and it makes her character pointless. Maybe if they left her as a computer genius, then that would have been interesting… But really is she the one to judge if the Doctor is a “Good Man”? She’s not even a “Good Woman”, so how would she know?

And the whole Clara and Mr Pink thing is annoying. Is their purpose to be the opposite of everything we loved about Amy and Rory? And speaking for myself and all of my fellows in Armed Services across the globe, STOP BEING SUCH A WHINNY !#$@!#. Cry, Cry, Cry….. The Doctor is a General and I’m just a little cog in the machine. We go to war, we bring things back, but we didn’t become magically wiser than a 1000 year old Time Lord in the process.

I hate the whole thing… Danny, the little girl who is destined to become a dropout, the elementary school rejects, the attack of the killer trees, the space orient express (a little too Titanic in space for me, wink) There is no originality, no character development and it makes Clara tiresome.

    Make it STOP!!!!

I do not mean to be a critic but Death in Heaven was the most depressing out of all of the episodes with a death of a loved one, the lie of the Doctor’s lost home, and the lie about Danny Pink.

I, too, agree with your comments. This was a RIDICULOUS episode!!! Can’t everyone see it? Or are people so brain-addled that they’ll accept anything? This season will go down as perhaps THE worst in Dr. Who history! From beginning to end, things have gone down hill completely, except for PC ‘s acting. Kudos to him for trying to rise above this muck… And Santa? Come on! You can’t have it both ways: dark series with beloved characters sensesly dying, and Joly Santy Claus for the kids… But it speaks of the directionless mess that this season has suffered. Can you tell I’m just a wee bit upset? Please, please start fresh with the next series… Please!

I really didn’t see the point of The Brigadier being a Cyberman, ok he saved his daughter but I’d rather the memory of him be left as the way it was. Somehow I think the very idea would have been abhorrent to the character himself.

  • Jammy2305

    November 8th, 2014 - 11:52pm

It’s done the opposite for me. It’s ruined the memory of his character…

How can I watch him fighting Cybermen in The Invasion now knowing he’s destined to be one?!

Since the Doctor and Missy/The Master like sounding (as the actors are in reality) Scottish then as we might say in Scotland:

Nothing particularly against Osgood as a character but if you were at all shocked at her being killed by the Master and thought it at all sinster I think good.Your supposed to be at all shocked and find that at all sinster because that’s more in the spirit of classic Who going back to when the character was first played by Roger Delgado.

Thought on first viewing it DIH was good if not excellent in what I and others think is the best series since 2005.Only criticism is it’s a tad disappointing we don’t see the Cyber army really doing that much mayhem or having the chance to show off their new abilities as in “The Nightmare In Silver” even if UNIT and the forces of earth present little (short of resorting to nuclear weapons) real threat to them.Thats often the problem with these big dramtic build ups though.

P.S. Still dont buy the Cybermen delegating leadership over themselves without some power of veto and in the classic series it was always extremely peririlous to underestimate them.1

The more I think about it the more emotionally damaged I am for seeing the Brigadier as a frickin’ Cyberman at the end… 🙁

Personally I would’ve liked her as the next companion, waste of a good character………….of course Santa could very well give Osgood, Danny and Gallifrey back in the Christmas episode.

I would hope they keep the Gallifrey mystery a good while yet. Even more interesting if he finds it again by accident….

Oh, and great episode by the way.

Did you notice that Danny came from the “Chaplet funeral home” (As in Dodo Chaplet) and that scene (with the banging on the morgue doors) also seemed to be channelling the TV movie…?

  • The TARDIS

    November 8th, 2014 - 10:46pm

Perhaps the thing I like most about Death in Heaven is that it will shut up all of the RTD haters who think his finales are rubbish because they are OTT, bombastic ego building and frequently nonsensical because now Moffat has given them one written by him so they should stop compaining! Yes, they are big and bombastic – but brilliantly so!

  • Charlie

    November 8th, 2014 - 10:45pm

Omg I cannot believe that they killed off Osgold. She was literally the embodiment of all fangirl/guys in the world and one of my all time favourite characters and I can’t believe she is dead. She better find a way to come back…
