So I think the mistress regenerated into a woman to escape rassilon and the timelords and maybe team up with the doctor but also destroy earth

What have they done. Roger Delgado was brilliant, Peter Pratt and Geoffrey Beevers very good, Anthony Ainley excellent, Eric Roberts great. Since the new series started they have made the master complete rubbish, from him hearing druming to eating people, and now this, she has no villainous quality about her. Hopefully she’s regenerate in to someone, male or female, who can be a bad ass.

Ok, it makes sense; Missy > Mistress > Master and just as much sense to have Michelle Gomez okay the part. An excellent build up, with upgraded Cybermen, so don’t screw it up and turn it into an episode of Hollyoaks. Writers are only as good as the Las thing they wrote and “Blink” was a long time ago now. Let there be madness, let there be chaos, let there be The Doctor and his enemies. Let it be fabulous!!!

Last thing Moffat wrote? Not sure, but I loved almost all of his episodes from The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances to A Good Man Goes To War.

In truth Moffat has written the only episodes of the modern era that deserve the overused accolade ‘classic’ – up there with Genesis of the Daleks, Tomb Of the Cybermen etc.
Much better than the Mills & Boon style preferred by RTD.

I don’t think it matters about the Cybermen not being kept secret. The Master’s return is a huge surprise that completely overshadows the Cybermen.

I don’t think Missy should be the Master it just doesn’t sound right. He’s not the Master anymore…She’s Missy. I mean Missy is a great character but I don’t think her being the Master is right…John Simm was fantastic…they should have kept him. Overall though good episode 🙂

I’ll stick with the Roger Delgado version of the Master. He was always (and always will be) the definitive and best in my opinion. Each time the Master (or Missy) comes back recast, we get lesser returns.

I don’t really mind that Missy has turned out to be The Master, but I agree Rodger Delgado will always be the best Master

Dalek The Supreme. If you have never seen Roger Delgado as the Master in classic Who then you and anyone else that applies to are missing out.Though it puzzles me a bit when theres been enough opportunity to see online all the Pertwee stories he was in from video streaming/file sharing sites without recourse to TV scheduling/DVD.(Before the BBC takes them down anyway.)

He set the standard for who and what that character is. Watch a master playing the Master.

Oh.My.God. THE MASTER IS BACK! AS A WOMAN…lol. This was in my opinion a great episode and a great set-up for what will happen in the finale next week! I loved how Seb’s reappearance was handled, Danny’s situation in the Promised Land with him deleting himself to prevent Clara from dying to save him was brilliant, and I nearly died from shock and surprise when Missy was revealed as the Master! While,I didn’t expect that,I knew as soon as Dr Chang explained about the skeletons in exo-skeletons thing that the skeletons were really Cybermen but it still got me rushing with excitement! I am so hyped for next week’s final episode and although it’s a shame it will be the end, this series will definitely be one to remember for me so let’s hope it goes out with a bang!

Apart from The satan Pit season 2 had nothing to commend it and with Gods & Monsters had the most cringe-inducingly awful story in the shows history.
However seasons -wise McCoy’s first is still the worst.

its a lie. People are given the choice to either feel the pain or delete it and become a cyberman. Its a ploy to trick people into chosing no emotion.

I enjoyed the first 15 minutes, but as it went on I’m sorry to say I didn’t find much to enjoy at all. I felt the overall premise was in quite poor taste, especially to anyone that has lost loved ones recently. The subject matter was very controversial. No doubt part 2 will rectify, clarify and answer what’s still unanswered. Plus why oh why did Moffat feel the need to make the Master female. We already have a well established female time lord in the form of the Rani…why not bring her back regenerated instead! Overall I found this episode (which started very well) to be my least favourite of the entire 8th series. I don’t hold out much hope of part 2 being much better.

Thought it would have been a better reveal if we never saw the cybermen in the trailer last week. Love that the logo for 3W wa the cybers eyes. Brilliant. Loved Michelle Gomez, kinda wished she was the Rani rather than the Master but maybe that will grow on me.
