What Did You Think of Heaven Sent ?
Now that the highly anticipated eleventh episode of series 9 has been aired what did you think? Was it everything you had hoped for or not what you expected.
5 days to go before Gallifrey and it’s people are finally freed from the parallel pocket universe and back where it belongs in the constellation of Kasterborous.
CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES COME ON !! 😀

Ok you can have stories where the Brig is resurrected as a Cyberman and the doctor gets out of fixes simply because he comes back in time and helps himself. Sure.

My dad and I watched this on Saturday and as we are both avid Doctor Who fans, we understood what was happening and thought it was really good and interesting!!! I sat down with my mom (who isn’t a fan) to watch it this morning, and I had to pause it every two minutes to explain it to her! I suppose my dad and I are just used to Moffat’s style of writing!

If Steven Moffatt loves Doctor Who much as he proclaims then he should do the right thing and quit, let someone with fresh ideas and a bit more understanding of what makes Doctor Who work. For me the show has been steadily going downhill since he took over, only Matt Smiths obvious joy and enthusiasm for the part papered over the cracks. I think Peter Capaldi could be fantastic, he has the look, the ability and can be riveting to watch but is in danger of becoming Nu Whos equivalent of Colin Baker. A fine actor brought down by lousy storytelling and a general apathy that seems to be creeping back into the production. The signs are there in the viewing figures,if the way we watch television is changing so much, why are the figures only falling for Doctor Who while most of the rubbish put out on Saturday night is holding steady. As a fan of Doctor Who for 47 years, I feel l have been here before and am worried that without a massive shake up, hiatus beckons again.

It was a really good episode, but not as fantastic as people are making it out to be. Peter Capaldi’s performance was brilliant but I found the episoee to get quite boring near the end, until Gallery showed up – which I excepted but it is great to see it back again! The next time trailer and BBC TV trailer are both fantastic and look really promising, I personally think that people are just really excited for the next episode with Gallifrey being back, so that’s why this one is getting so much praise!

You can’t really dismiss an entire era based on one episode, maybe you watched Time-Flight or Terminus, if you’d watched the Caves of Androzani or Earthshock it might be a different story… literally.

The confession dial that Ashildr has already contains the confession that the Doctor made whilst in there. Thus at some point he is going to lose it, Missy will find it and the whole sequence of events will start again… (Hope that makes sense?)

Most of the Moffat thinks his plots are much cleverer than they are. I also like the Slitheen.
Though I did like this episode, especially towards the end.

Yes they were, but with cobweb strands attached to them; question are the linked to the “old times” on Gallifrey. Possibly not, but even on the Time Lord’s planet lay threats, and not from just the Doctor’s own kind.

Protect your identity ?. You don’t have to use an actual picture of yourself or your real name you know.
You can call yourself by a proper username and use an icon of anything other then a picture of yourself, and still be anonymous, but at least be known online by an icon and username.
Back in the days when I was on YouTube, I only knew some fellow Doctor Who fan’s by their username and icon, even if I never knew their actual name or what they looked like, at least they was not referring to themselves as Anonymous.
Please try at least to use a proper username and an icon. The icon don’t have to be a picture of you off course.

Haha…I think there is nore than just one person who exercises their right to stay anonymous. For example, I always protect my identiy because how others can react to opinions…but I didnt leave the above comment. But rest assured, you’re not the only one who posts before they read – that topic has been raised by several people who dont realise its already been discussed.

The Doctor is not the hybrid. He said “The Hybrid is Me” “Me” is the name that Ashildr calls her self. She is half Viking and half Mire…a hybrid of 2 warrior races.
Ashildr/Me is not the Doctor’s mother nor is she Clara or River.

I recently watched a episode from the old days of DR who with Peter Davisons Doctor and Teagen & Adric it was absolutely dreadfull and a reminder of why i stoped watching after Tom Baker. So don’t whinge about Capaldi & Moffatt it could be far far worse.

Hey wait a second, I’ve just had a thought !!.
The Doctor said “the Hybrid is me!”.
But what if he was not referring to himself ! . . . . what if he was referring to ‘Me’ as in ASHILDER !!.
Couldn’t see why not, since she is in ‘Hell Bent’.
Maybe having the Doctor say ‘the Hybrid is me’ is ment to throw us off, making us think his talking about himself when his actually talking about Ashilder.

Don’t understand the minority of fans who want shot of Moffat. Do we really want to go back to the days of the Slitheen and soap opera story lines. Give me Moffats complex plots and growing mythology any day. A writer with real imagination. Mind you DWs are never happy and always think they could do better.
