Why was it called ‘Flatline’? The only link I could see was the TARDIS about to be FLATTENED on the train LINE? ❓

Also, who knew that the villains were called the Boneless? Was that in the ep?
Also, why did the TARDIS turn silver??

I felt it was also a slight taster in what a female doctor would be like and I liked it

Next week, The Doctor Does School Trips

I’m thinking she’s a new character. To back up my theory Moffat in the new DWM says ‘… boasts the brilliant Michele Gomez as a brand new villain’ and later saying something about that he can have credit for the new character. Of course he may be lying, but we’ll find out in a few weeks 😀

Talking to my Whovian friend, we’ve come to the Conclusion Missy is some reincarnation of River Song. I really, *really* don’t want it to be, but it’s entirely possible.

Not spectacularly amazing, but pretty darn good.
Enjoyable human people, and Capaldi was awesome as always. Mind you, Coleman was actually really good in this episode, good job. Also, not too complicated, so easy to follow. And of course, the monsters in CGI looked really awesome too!
But, it felt like it lacked something to make it a bit more… Dr. Who-ish. Not too sure what, but overall really quite good.

8/10. Similar to ‘Listen’, with the mystery and all that, but actually done well. Not the horrific cannibalised mess that Listen was. Original ideas, and executed well too, and surprisingly funny too!
Nest week looks…meh. School trip, and the return of Danny Beige. Hooray…

Mark gatiss is nigh on guaranteed to be the next showrunner. However his first two episodes have been brilliant thus he deserves to be given an opportunity to write some episodes for series 9.

Well.. Think about it.. Missy means Mistress.. and thats the woman version of master.. 🙂

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:21pm

Owen, what makes you think she’s the wife of the Master?

  • Trenzalore

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:21pm

Funnily enough I was thinking the same. There have been a lot of new writers this series so maybe he’s looking for potential new writers anyway…

It was a really good concept and those mosters looked really creepy. Not entirely sure how the Doctor defeated them though? And being a railwayman at heart, it was really weird seeing something from the 1960’s being passed off as modern… But that’s a personal gripe!

Generally it was an enjoyable episode!

Right my Predictions..: The woman in the shop chose to give clara the number for the doctor thats why shes with him and she said Clara my Clara.. and i think shes also the wife of the master.

Booboo-I agree. For the first time this series, I felt let down and bored.

  • Gallifrey Will Rise Again

    I agree with Booboo

  • The Temporal Jelly Baby

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:18pm

Here’s a theory…Missy is the Doctor!!! Joking, obviously.

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:18pm

It was good, good concept, good effects, BUT
Just like the last episode the writer gets the pacing wrong. The ending was too rushed, and the beginning was too slow. My mum and sister didn’t have a clue what was going on as it sped up too fast.
It had some great moments, but I wasn’t fond of the supports.
I think it could’ve been written a bit better because of the pace, but I did enjoy it.

Good monster, and well done Clara!

However, next week looks terrible. Aliens? Or just some trees?

Also Missy may be the woman in the shop…

    not one of my favourites

scary monsters, great idea, seemed a bit disjointed and rushed in places

I thought about Missy being the woman in the shop. The Bells of Saint episode yes?

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:17pm

I seriously think the person who wrote this episode and mummy on the orient express has the potential to be the next showrunner.

Wonderful episode and great acting all round.

  • The Temporal Jelly Baby

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:16pm

The scene with the TARDIS on the railway line was absolutely hilarious! 😀

  • RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:15pm

Or the woman in the shop

  • the astronaut of death

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:14pm

over all I really liked this episode I felt the story and characters were good and those monsters looked awesome and scary

I felt it was also a slight taster in what a female doctor would be like and I liked it

so over all a good episode 8/10

    what did you think booboo?

  • Owen

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:13pm

Clara my Clara I have chosen u well… What does it mean? I think she might be Danny or The Rani or The Master or The Female Doctor?

  • StetsonDoctor

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:13pm

Yuk, sorry but tonight was strange and boring. Not my kind of thing at all…

  • Doctor Stu

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:11pm

It was actually quite good but it sounds a bit morbid but I’d have liked it if the monsters had actually killed more people. It was good but it kind of felt like a Sarah Jane adventures episode

  • The Silent Silent

    October 18th, 2014 - 9:11pm

I thought that was quite good.
