    RIP Doctor Who

    1963-2017

Their last chance to make a good episode & it failed. I like jodies doctor but the plots are rubbish

    I doubt i will watch series 12

Seeing them all at the start of the episode standing in the TARDIS doors I thought to myself they look like a really good team but its a shame I dont feel anything for them. Dont know what it is but these companions dont click with me, they remind me of cbeebies presenters and I think thats where the problem could be, they dont really have any flaws, and thats what made RTD’s companions in particular real and likeable.

I think the whole thing with ryan and his dad this episode was a bit boring. It seems like the absent father thing is starting to define Ryan, I know plenty of people including myself with an absent father but its not like thats a character trait.

Other than that I really liked the episode, the dalek looked awesome but it was undermined by the fact that we know the dalek isn’t going to win.

If UNIT is closed what about Torchwood?

Is the closure of UNIT talked about with Big Finish Boxsets or is Chibnall just disrespectful?

Probably Jodie Whitaker’s best story, even though it still wasn’t a 10/10 story. There was still too much stuff found more in a soap opera with Ryan’s Dad appearing. This in turn really hindered the pacing of the story. The Dalek was more effective as a squid thing, than a recycled metal dustbin. Jodie Whitaker was good though. But she is better suited to straight dramatic acting, than acting with humour and lightness of character. So all in all a decent story with surprisingly good acting throughout. 8/10

What was the reason for suspending/closing UNIT operations and who is leading the fight against Alien invasions when the Doctor isn,t around?

How do you destroy the most dangerous creaturw in the universe? A creature that has slaughtered billions of planets and people? A creature who comes from the dealiest warrior species in the universe? With a Microwave.

Good to see 55 years of history means nothing to Chibnall. It breaks my heart to see how far this show has fallen.

For the first time this series there was genuine tension. I was convinced Ryan would fly out of the TARDIS with his Dad. It’s a shame that all the other scenes with his Dad were the the slowest and weakest parts of the episode apart from that last bit.

I thought it was a really great episode. Absolutely incredible. Such a great take on the Daleks. Next series i hope there will be more. It is no doubt going to have its critics, but I feel that Chibnall has written a proper finale to Jodies first series. I can watch The Battle of Ranskoor av Kolos as a normal episode and not a finale.

I do feel bad for that poor family though. I mean what would we do without internet or anything.
    10/10 Am already rewatching it.

Doctor Who is DEAD, that was awful. I was expecting something interesting knowing the Daleks DNA had been left on Earth millenia ago, unfortunately what we got was the worst episode with Daleks I can ever remember!

Poor writing, poor acting, poor season.

Shame the Dalek didn’t exterminate the Doctor and friends, how anyone can talk this %£#@ up is beyond me it really is, as a long time fan I can honestly say Doctor Who is dead in fact it has been for two or three seasons now but this season sees it hit new lows I never thought possible! How wrong I was.

RIP Doctor, you had a long run but as you have said yourself “everything comes to an end” including you 🙁

I thought that was fantastic! Far better than anything in series 11. I was excited throughout, tense to see what happens in the next scene and really cared about the characters. Not flawless, but I seriously enjoyed it.

And they made the Daleks scary again!

    In a word: brilliant!

    9.5/10.

I liked this idea for the dalek, give it a better skin, paintjob and I seriously think that this could be a successor to the time war daleks. it proved far more effective and resourceful, LOOK it can fire missiles from the bumps and the overall design is streamlined. It even killed more people with the design. I think this is a great prototype for the MK 7 dalek. Look even the terminator had some early ridiculous designs from T3 and T4 but it got badass as time went on.
    EXPAND! EXPAND! this idea chibbs!

I enjoyed it for the most part. The stars in their eyes dalek reveal moment was hilarious. Reminded me a little of those ‘Daleks’ from The Timelords ‘doctoring the Tardis’ video.

That was one of the worst episodes I have ever watched. I feel for Jodie and the companions under Chibnalls leadership.

I feel like I now getting Chibnall’s vision for the show, and what they’re trying to achieve. Jodie felt more like the Doctor than so far, and the Dalek was scary and also had me on the edge of my seat. Really good episode!

Cracking episode, best Who this year 😉 Seriously though, great acting, and proof that you shouldn’t stray too far from Dr Who mythology….great to see Jodie face a ‘proper’ villain at last……Going to be a long wait though for the next one….

The Dalek looked so stupid flying with that awful cgi

And I really don’t understand the dalek plot or how it can take over people now

but the scene with the doctor and the dalek was amazing. Praise for Jodie Whittaker as THE DOCTOR. It took 10 episodes but she’s there

And I will miss doctor who next year

also the comedy in this episode was poor, and the scenes with Ryan and his Dad just felt that another episode could have had that stuff

also It felt for the first half that this episode was written for another villain and the Daleks were just shoe horned in and I mean

Can I just praise that Warehouse Scene and the happiness that the Daleks where back

The dalek would have sent the transmission if Chibnall knew how long a rel was (evolution of the daleks) and surely it could have shot someone in the gchq (even if it was weak it is a dalek!) Plus I really am not a fan of the no title sequence. But nonetheless it was my favourite with Jodie so far 8/10.

The Dalek was good, it had good firing power & killed a fair few people, but I’d have like to have seen more Daleks to see if that was the only design now. The only I think I didn’t like was the character build up, which I think wrecked the pacing of the story at times.

Aside from 2 really lame jokes about the Wi-Fi going out and people horrified about having to have a conversation it was A pretty good episode. First time it’s actually felt like who all season.

    Best Episode of 2019 Yet
    Best Episode in 2018-19 Yet

    Wow

    Ryan’s acting was good
    I loved the New Dalek

This was probably why a lot of their stuff in 2018 looked cheap because this episode was super expensive.

Great plot, acting, sounds and visual

It isn’t even worthy of a rant. The dalek looks like a toy from the 60’s. Excuse me whilst i go and cry over the remnants of this once great show.
