Now that the fifth episode of series 10 has been aired what did you think? Was it everything you had hoped for or not what you expected.

In a future where oxygen is sold by the breath, and space suits are valued more highly than their occupants, the TARDIS crew battle for survival against the darkest evil of all…

May 14th, 2017 - 9:02pmSeems in the poll’s above, Oxygen is the only one to have a high vote for ‘brilliant television’ which I am not surprised with as it was a really good episode
The Living Shadow
May 14th, 2017 - 8:48pmHe can’t just use his regeneration energy to heal himself willy-nilly! He probably just remade them with new software, or it’s just a jar full of empty spare sonic screwdriver ‘cases’ (excluding the model he gave Nardole)
doctor no more
May 14th, 2017 - 7:02pmWhy didn’t he just use regeneration energy on his eyes? How has he got old sonics in a jar when some of them have been destroyed in past stories!
The Dalek Whovian
May 14th, 2017 - 6:57pmIt could be the Doctor’s imagination…. lame excuse I know.
The Dalek Whovian
May 14th, 2017 - 6:56pmI hope the vault is all the “leaked” headlines safely hidden from society.
The Moffat Paradox
May 14th, 2017 - 6:21pmThought this was a bit like “Under The Lake/Before The Flood” set in space but it was good as well.Best Series 10 episode yet.

Doctor Stu
May 14th, 2017 - 5:20pmDaily express are claiming to have revealed the contents of the vault if it’s genuine or just click bait I don’t know but everyone tread carefully around the internet this week if you don’t want to be spoiled

May 14th, 2017 - 2:52pmAgree with both of you.

May 14th, 2017 - 2:24pmI said that when I was watching it I said ‘I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t get that view from the middle of London

May 14th, 2017 - 9:24amI enjoyed this episode, best of this season so far. Jamie Mathieson is a good writer much better than most of the others.
One issue I found was when the Doctor looks out of the university window from his office he can see the milky way? I’m not sure where this university is but I do know you need exceptionally dark skies to see our milky way! As you will know we suffer from light pollution here in Britain. There are dark sky sites dotted around, but I’m pretty sure no universities are in the middle of these areas.
Yes I’m being picky, but as an amateur astronomer it bothers me.
Jamie Mathieson could well be a future showrunner, I for one would welcome it.

May 14th, 2017 - 8:39amFuture showrunner perhaps…
Alex Who?
May 14th, 2017 - 3:11amBest episode of the season so far!!!
And the only one that I’ve really enjoyed.
I think it’ll go down as one of Capaldi’s finest hours.

May 14th, 2017 - 1:16amSo then… the Doctor has a handicap now eh? What a twist. Mathieson needs to write more. If it weren’t for the Moffat influence on The Girl Who Died, it might have been a better episode. Mummy and Flatline are more in keeping with this episode and just go to show that Mathieson wasn’t to blame for TGWD. Anyway, I think I liked this episode. I will need to re-watch it though…

May 13th, 2017 - 11:59pmVery good episode. ‘Oxygen’ was a well written, superbly acted and gripping story. This series is certainly shaping up to be the best series for quite some time.
The Living Shadow
May 13th, 2017 - 11:55pmJamie Mathieson needs to write more episodes. That’s all I’m saying!
The Living Shadow
May 13th, 2017 - 11:33pmI got a good chuckle from you calling the 12th Doctor a coward and using the ’10th “I don’t wanna go” Doctor’ as an example of a non-cowardly Doctor… a Doctor whose development went from “Regeneration doesn’t hurt” to “I’m going to die!” (Not that I dislike the 10th Doctor, just to clarify)
The Living Shadow
May 13th, 2017 - 11:26pmCoward? But he’s not trying to lock what ever is in the vault away, I’d say he’s confident, if anything. He’s not worried about, or cowering away from what ever is in the vault. Well he is now, after being blinded! I don’t blame him!

May 13th, 2017 - 11:14pmSo maybe the regeneration we see in the trailer is just the Doctor borrowing a bit of regeneration energy from missy to heal his eyes

May 13th, 2017 - 10:22pmFantastic. Wish Capaldi was staying on…
The Dalek Whovian
May 13th, 2017 - 9:59pmWhat a fantastic episode, the setting, monsters, characters and tone of this story were great. And it would not be Doctor Who without a dramatic twist and this was a big one.
The Dalek Whovian
May 13th, 2017 - 9:52pmI must disagree after he risked his own life in the atmosphere of space to save Bill, I think it’s fair to say that the 12th Doctor is far from a coward. Also the Doctor has never been able to stay in one place despite danger, the 3rd Doctor always tried to leave Earth when he was trapped on it.
Stop that TARDIS
May 13th, 2017 - 9:47pmMaybe indeed! I believe those scenes of the regeneration are from around episode 7? (Not sure) but consdirin the next few are the “monk trilogy” it could be!
When The Doctor Was Me
May 13th, 2017 - 9:40pmLiked each episode before this, But LOVED this one!
Tension, gripping, clever, agonising, heart felt moments and in places very cinematic.
Honestly this is my favourite episode of Capaldi’s era so far.
As for The Doctor being blind. What a great idea, never been done before and will be interesting to see how it plays out. Excited for next week now!

May 13th, 2017 - 9:01pmReally quite good and quite intense at some bits, nice twist with the Doctor’s eyes. Overall really good
The Other
May 13th, 2017 - 8:56pmBefore Series 10 I may have agreed with you. However Series 10 is the best series since 2005 – not a single dud episode, they’ve all been great.
The 12th Doctor proved once again tonight exactly why he is an amazing Doctor tonight by sacrificing his sight to save Bill, and as for leaving The Vault when he isn’t supposed to – that’s one of the Doctor’s most defining traits, it’s why he left Gallifrey in the first place. BTW the moodiness is what I hate about The 10th Doctor.

May 13th, 2017 - 8:50pmOh my giddy aunt!! Absolutely brilliant!! My favourite of series 10 so far and my favourite episode in a long long time!! One of Peter Capaldi’s best episodes in my opinion!! Just… Fantastic!

May 13th, 2017 - 8:48pmIf that is genuinely how you feel then I do feel very sorry for you! The 12th Doctor has moulded himself into the HERO that he is today over the past few years!
As for the episode itself, well, not every episode is to everyone’s taste and again, you are entitled to your opinion but WHAT WERE YOU WATCHING? IT WAS AMAZING!!!!
