For me, this is the best episode of Series 6 ever !!!!!!! 😀

But that could change, we’ve still got the rest of Series 6 to go yet 🙂

i also think that its the best, i have always wanted to see a human version of the tardis to see the arguments and witty comments the doctor would have with her. also this puts my river theory to shame, cause now we have a human tardis who i thought river was 🙁

    > the only water in the forest is the river

    >the only water in the forest is river song

(so many references to ‘alive’ forest = alive)

    > the only water in the alive in river song

(water = pond = amy pond)

    > ‘AMY POND IS ALIVE IN RIVER SONG’!!!!

      Hmmmmm…you may have something there….

I don’t believe that considering their names River and Pond that they don’t have any connections, and that it was just a writer’s coincidence…..

you might be on to something there.

    • Ducktor

      May 15th, 2011 - 8:53am

You could be right, but the forest could mean the forest of the dead, where River died.

    • dr who fan

      May 15th, 2011 - 9:57am

river and pond they mean the same thing

    • Winner

      May 15th, 2011 - 3:17pm

”‘AMY POND IS ALIVE IN RIVER SONG’!!!!”

I reckon your conclusion is right, because Amy is Rivers mum, thus amy’s genetics are in River…

So a bit of Pond is alive in River.

      BOOM!

River and Pond are different. A river is long and thin. A pond is a oversized (rather deep) puddle.

In America, a still slow flowing section of a river is called a pond ! I myself have swum in a section of the Delaware River called Pond Eddie!

I loved the fact they brought an old console room back but I wiushed they brought back some others too!! especially the 8th doc’s, that was fantastic. Idris said that she saved ALL the past console room but they were all deleted so they wont be coming back :'(

Wow! That was great! The only thing that disapointed me slightly was, although I was squeeling at seeing the old TARDIS and those brilliant corridors and the only water in the forest is the river, I couldn’t sense much of a plot. It was mostly chases and people runnign around. But that’s just me, does anyone else agree?

i sort of agree, i didnt understand the only water in the forest is the river and why were the ood there. in my opinion, the ood had no place in that episode but i still hope they make a figure

      May 15th, 2011 - 7:08am

the ood was there because he fell through the rift thing and ended up on the planet(and broke his translater)

Brilliant episode the best one so far Neil Gaiman brilliant in writing this episode I think he should do more future eps if he can. The best parts was that House messing with Rory and Amy in the corridors and the Tardis Chase.

THIS EPISODE WAS AMAZING! The part that made my day was when the doctor finally got emotional but didn’t completely break down like David Tennant did allot. Matt Smith has a manly tear like Peter Davidson and Christopher Eccleston. Neil Gaiman should write more for doctor who!

i thought it was very very good in how steven moffat is trying to interlink the previous doctors/tardis with the current doctor/tardis! Very clever story telling that is also built into a current story arc and River Song looks likely to be pla a big part in it too!

It wasn’t anything special, and the TARDIS woman was annoying. Also the fact, I didn’t have a clue what she was saying.
