They were discussing that on the Latest Whocast! I have actually wrote a scene between Amy and Rory about how that conversation might go.

That was the Doctor who died, Canton confirmed it was not a clone or duplicate. It was the real one. Of course it could be the original dies and the show follows the Ganger in future.

    Rather entertaining!

I wonder if the Doctor’s “Ganger” turns out to be the future doctor who was killed in Episode one…we’ll have to see…maybe he wont survive part two

do you know when DOCTOR WHO says it will be a scary episode, and i’m 14 and i’m passed the stage of DALEKS being scary, but those acid faced people, now that is what scary is, i jumped and though i tuned in to a horror film. 🙂

It was brilliant, enjoyed the concept and ideas presented, also it was greatly executed, the atmosphere, tension and production values get across what they needed to and do very well. Matt Smith shines again, showing a more toned down seriousness without being overly comedic in this one, which is a nice middle ground. Karen didn’t really do much in this episode other than try and support Rory, and that was a bit of a shame. However Arthur Darvill was exceptional in this episode, this is an episode that shows him developing from the timid and clumsy character that we’ve been seeing since the start to an independent and strong character capable of solving things by himself , he really starts to gain a footing as a real companion in this episode, I love that about his performance in this episode, it’s a great development, I hope we see a lot more of it throughout the rest of the season.

The pacing however was little slow, and I could have walked in and out of the room at any point throughout the episode without losing anything from it, it wasn’t as crammed with information and events too look out for compared to episodes 1,2 and 4, everything was obvious and dots could be joined in the plot, it was simple but effective. The main issue I have is the over reliance of CGI, some of the Ganger’s expressions, in particular the Ganger that attacked Rory in the toilets was pretty laughable, I could see the false cheesiness of it, if the CGI was under used and prosthetics were more prominent, it would have been a lot more effective.

Other than that I loved it, it was standard Doctor, not it’s best but certainly one of the better ones. 8/10

I knew it, the Doctors Doppleganger will be the Doctor that will get killed in the first episode, probably by River Song as she stated that she killed a good man. The same Doctors memories etc.
