No in an interview Moffat knew he wanted capaldi straight away but he still had to audition so I’m right

No. Moffat knew he wanted capaldi as the doctor as he’s already been considered as the doctor in previous years, but he still did auditions and capaldi still had to audition.

Seeing as there are now 14th Doctors and not 12, cos it seems David Tennant’s 10th Doctor was 2 versions, who we’re really 11 and 12, then the Doctors and who played them now go like this –

    William Hartnell – The 1st Doctor [1963 to 1966]

    Patrick Troughton – The 2nd Doctor [1966 to 1969]

    Jon Pertwee – The 3rd Doctor [1970 to 1974]

    Tom Baker – the 4th Doctor [ 1974 to 1981]

    Peter Davison – The 5th Doctor [1982 to 1984]

    Colin Baker – The 6th Doctor [ 1984 to 1986]

Sylvester McCoy – The 7th Doctor [1987 to 1989, plus 1996 in the TV Movie]

Paul McGann – The 8th Doctor [1996 TV Movie only, shown regenerating in 2013 mini-sode ‘The Night of the Doctor’]

John Hurt – The 9th Doctor [2013 in mini-sode ‘The Night of the Doctor’, shown starting to regenerate in ‘The Day of the Doctor’]

    Christopher Eccleston – The 10th Doctor [2005]

    David Tennant – The 11th Doctor [2005 to 2008]

    David Tennant – The 12th Doctor [2008 to 2010]

    Matt Smith – The 13th Doctor [2010 to 2013]

Peter Capaldi – The 14th Doctor [2013 – Present Day]

He started to regenerate because it wasnt him! He was a tesalectre, who can make it look like he is!
As for your second point i would assume its all to do with the time can be rewritten business!

At least we are up to date with all the regenerations and reasons why.

    1. Body is ‘wearing a bit thin’
    2. Forced upon by the time lords
    3. Radiation poisoning
    4. Fell from the Pharos project telescope
    5. Spectrox toxeamia poisoning
    6. Unspecified injuries caused by the rani
    7. Shot by a street gang
    8. Crashed in spaceship, resurrected by Karn’s elixirs
    9. Body is ‘wearing a bit thin’ again
    10. Absorbed the time vortex energy
    11. Shot by a dalek.
    12. Radiation poisoning again
    13. What reason would you call Matt’s regeneration?

I am sorry to say that i was dissapointed with the quality of the writing of ‘the time of the doctor’
It was sloppy and failed to hold a clear narrative as to what was going on.
The script would have lent itself to say, a comic, where the reader can read and re-read a passage to clarify what was happening, but generally in tv form it felt hurried, with too many elements trying to be addressed in too short a period. don’t get me wrong, the story elements and ideas were good, but (and this happens all too often in Dr Who now) the script writing was poor.

The first one is true. The Eleventh Doctor said he was in his last body, so why did he start regenerating in the Impossible Astronaut? Moffat really needs to leave now before he leaves anymore plot holes.

This is a British show and needs to stay that way. (Speaking as an American.) Russell T, Eccleston and Tennant laid the groundwork. The budget got bigger when Moffet took over and they were able to market to the US, but that didn’t mean the show got better. I loved Moffet’s writing and was looking forward to him taking the helm, but it hasn’t been nearly as good as I had hoped. I did enjoy the 50th but I was quite disappointed in the Christmas special. It felt too contrived. It was too, “Oh dear–I only have one show to wrap up all of these loose ends!” Here’s hoping that in series 8 Peter Capaldi can bring the show back to what it should be.

I find it sad of end of Matt Smith as the Doctor. I can’t believe the new Doctor old since Jon Pertwee.

What really bothers me about that was that the TARDIS interior on TNOTD was the exact same one that the doctor owed presently and not some future tardis.

I didn’t really like Ecclestone although he was “ok”. Tennant was THE doctor for me and I’m old enough to have watched them all. Matt Smith I strongly disliked but he grew on me over time, so much so that I will actually miss him. Just a pity he didn’t take wooden Clara with him.

Capaldi is one of my favourite actors and I’m looking forward to it, but I seriously hope that they can get some better writing. The 50th and the Xmas special are both poor. Yes poor, certainly poor in comparison to some of the stellar writing that has gone before. Moffat needs to stop believing his own hype and remember you are only as good as your last episode – and the last one was poor.

I’m really hoping Capaldi’s first episode will be called Dawn of the Doctor, seeing as it’s the Dawn of an all new Regeneration-cycle

Dalek supreme, Mark Gatiss did good in series one but has slowly got worse. Neil cross, both bad episodes, Neil Gaiman, one ok-ish one and one really rubbish one, stephen thompson, please don’t ever come back, just stick to Sherlock, your good at that, at least, Chris Chibnall, good, apart from the power of three. toby whithouse, good in series 2, rubbish in 5 and 6, surprisingly really good in 7.

Dalek the supreme, I like series 5 and 6. Series 5 is my third favourite series and Matt Smith is my favourite Doctor. But series 7 is not the best and that is my opinion and is most peoples. I am just expressing my opinion, I let others express theirs. I try and understand it the best I can, but doesn’t mean I have to agree. I know a few people who liked the 50th and after a second re-watch, it wasn’t as bad as I thought, just a bad story, not thought out properly and I was just very disappointed with it and The Time Of The Doctor was the worst farewell episode for the Doctor and that is just my opinion. You have yours, others have theirs, I have mine, everybody has their opinion and if no one expressed their opinion, then what would it be like. If he didn’t have opinions, different or more or less the same, then we wouldn’t be human. Either way, we are all fans of Doctor Who, but that doesn’t mean we have to be pleased with every episode, because unfortunately life isn’t perfect, or unfortunately, it’s being written by rubbish writers. We have all liked aspects of a different show and I don’t like the show that is Doctor Who of 2013. And that is my opinion. If no one likes it, deal with it!

Dalek the supreme, I am just being honest and stating my opinion. I like the way it’s not offensive when people say they are glad River has gone. If fans don’t like River, then I have no idea what programme they are watching? or which episode?
