Come on guys, this is The Doctor Who Site, not the ‘Slag Every TV Series Apart From Doctor Who Site’, considering the fact that I am also a fan of Mrs Browns Boys. Rant over.

I have a theroy that may answer why his regeneration was so quick.
When Clara opened the tardis , you saw his cloths all over the floor.
He’d already changed, Clara was seeing him young and perhaps what the tardis wanted her to see. Then being grabbed by peters dr, kinda shaped her out of her trance. Don’t forget he’d gone through a powerful regeneration on top of the tower.

I was and very surprised the 11th Doctors last words weren’t “Geronimo!” How could Steven Moffat not put that in?

Yes, you did miss something. He explained to Clara that although he calls himself the Eleventh Doctor, he is actually in his Thirteenth, and final body (due to the inclusion of the War Doctor and the ‘Same-body regeneration’ at the beginning of ‘Journey’s End’). Hence, he could not regenerate anymore and was set to die of old age, as he almost did when the Daleks attacked and he had been guarding Christmas for hundreds of years. At the end though, he was given a complete set of twelve new regenerations (thirteen bodies) from the Time Lords, through the crack in time! Peter Capaldi is the first of this new cycle, meaning he has twelve bodies ahead of him. Clearer?

The Doctor didn’t regenerate on Lake Silencio. That was the Teselecta simply putting on a light show, recreating the regeneration effect.
The Doctor did die on Trenzalore, but that time line was re-written, so it never really happened.
Think of it like a long road. This road represents the Time Line of Trenzalore, every so often there are other little roads that branch out of this long road – these are alternate time lines, or possibilities. If you go up one of these smaller ‘possibility roads’, you will find The Doctor died on Trenzalore and the TARDIS was his tomb. But since that was re-written, that road is closed off now, but it was closed off after the Doctor + Clara went there, so it doesn’t create a paradox. Instead, they are now travelling up another small possibility road where the Doctor didn’t die, and all is well.

Actually it was not the getting shot that caused the 7th doctor to die it was the medicines that killed him

As human medicine is fatal to time lords

Why are people saying the Doctor has 12 more regenerations left? This should be his last and final one. Did I miss something?

This story was a bit confusing to me. Why couldn’t they bring back the Rani and have her steal the Doctor’s TARDIS leaving him stranded to die of old age. She could have intended to borrow it for a bit and bring it back without him knowing, only the time circuits get scrambled and she’s off by a few hundred years. Just a thought.

It was a weird story. Can’t wait to see what the new Doctor chooses to wear! The Doctor typically has chosen his clothes from his immediate surroundings which is more than likely Earth or the TARDIS Wardrobe. So, his new outfit should be a rather Earth like one like the ones we’ve seen before.

look guys, Moffat won’t forgot the whole TARDIS size leak on trenzalore thing, he will come back to it. He’s the sort of guy that
likes to close plot holes at least some time.
