    @BUY Me
I quite like the finale but they probably should’ve done that last year at some point
and made sure to differentiate it from The 5 Doctors!
If done right hat could’ve been great; maybe with the Guardians as the main villain (Black Guardian) and ally (White Guardian)
Or perhaps Omega or The Valeyard as the main villain instead?
Unsure about the Dlathereen or the return of the Ogri mind you…
    But some great ideas!
    😉 🙂 😛

I would agree with most of those, and in terms of story arks I think they should take a leaf out of Doctor Who Magazine’s book on how to work them ( I especially loved the build up to the 50th arc and The Child Of Time arc’s; and believe they are better then the impossible girl arc and the River Song arc respectively (the DWM story that was going at the same time as the T.V arc, if you get what I mean))
And as for a new showrunner; I think Moffat can do better (50th and Xmas, not to mention Sherlock) but most of Series 7 Part 2 was awful, so depending on Capaldi’s first series it’s make or break for Moffat for me

Apparently Series 8 will be Moffat’s Last Series!!!

THE DOCTOR has NOT been rewritten, because he didn’t have the TIME WAR before Eccleston/Hurt (when he was still the Doctor), and he didn’t mention the Time War much as Smith (when he was also The Doctor). Therefore the saving of Gallifrey only removes a minor inconsistency in the character of The Doctor, who, in his Fourth incarnation, refused to avert the Daleks’ creation, and always despaired of resorting to killing..

I agree with all of those (Change “No More story arcs” to “Less story-arc-driven-stories”. It’s alright to have small things throughout the series to look out for which are referred to during the series finale, but I do feel sorry for the casual viewer who turns on the telly and doesn’t have a clue what the characters are on about. Sometimes Steven’s little mysteries get forgotten by him.), but I don’t mind Steven Moffat. I do think, however, that he should WRITE LESS STORIES HIMSELF. Steven is a brilliant writer with a very good imagination but he does wear it out to the point where we can get bored of his style.

Agreed. I find The whole idea behind the Silurians fascinating and think the ones since “The Hungry Earth” are too humanoid looking. Bring back the classic ones with a little makeover as with the Daleks/Cybermen.

I think that The Time of the Doctor should have been a two-part story like The End of Time, with the first episode on Christmas and the second on New Years.

I agree with most points, except for no story arcs, and maybe a new showrunner. Steven Moffat has made radical changes to Doctor Who since he took over, but I’ve enjoyed many of them, and especially enjoyed how the Series 5 finale had almost every episode of the season leading up to it, and many of the ideas in his run, like the Silence orginization and a previously unknown incarnation of the Doctor. I’ll admit the explanations for some arcs were rushed, but that was mainly because The Time of the Doctor was trying to squeeze what should have been a two-episode story into a one-episode time frame. As long as Steven Moffat continues to have interesting ideas like this, I wouldn’t mind seeing him stay in power, but after all he’s given us, I’m worried he may be running out of ideas. The fact that the stories of The Wedding of River Song and (to a lesser extent) The Name of the Doctor are copy-catted off of The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang are signs of this. However, if he was to leave, I wouldn’t mind seeing Mark Gatiss or Neil Gaiman taking over in his place.

I did enjoy watching Tom Baker in the 50th story .
As for answering the questions in the Time of the Doctor. Like how was it that landed in Amy’s garden ( Dakels, Autons, Cybermen, The Silence, Sontarans, Zygons??) who was it.
where did the other flight of stairs go ? on the outside of Amy’s house u can see that there was 2 floors a ground floor and a 1st floor and then the attic so where did the stairs goto on the 1st floor, this is just 2 of the unanswered questions i can think of at this moment I know there is more but i just can think of them at this moment.

Yep. It was a different wedding. She met a new
bloke. I really thing Donna Noble would have been
the best companion, spoke her mind, not a shrinking violet or a scream queen. Too bad.

I think this forum makes fascinating reading and is as enjoyable as the actual shows..

    well done you lot.

    Clara remains a fascinating conundrum.

She has quite a few un-answered questions to feed us with.. still.. keeps me going anyway.

I hope we see Tom Baker again as the curator

Handy that crack in the sky

Matt should have stayed another series I think.

He may rue his decision, could he return like
    Tenant?

The paternoster gang was quite a cosy scene,

    I shall miss the frissons

wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff question.
season 4 the doctor goes back to donnas wedding and gives her a present of a lottery ticket I assume it was a winning ticket.my understanding is that if the TARDIS lands in the past in the same time line it would be stuck in that time line. That’s why he cannot go back and
warn someone of on coming disasters etc.but if he landed to get the ticket then traveled to the wedding then how was he able to leave the wedding? Am I missing something?

I really think Matt Smith should have stuck around for one more series. Not because I like his Doctor (although I do), but because I think the storylines could have been tied up over a longer period of time and given his last story more room to breathe.

here are some ideas for series 8:

    1. the cyber invasion of earth ( the cybermen)

    5. the world of horror ( the daleks)

Unofficaly he’s the 13th Doctor dont forget the John = 9 Christopher = 10th, David = 11/12th, Matt=13, Capaldi = 14th. But in the show Capaldi the 12th. I dont think they will be going around changing all the card games and part works magazines to change the Doctor’s numbers do you.

Peter Capaldi is the 14th Doctor. The time lords used the crack in time to send through a new regeneration cycle.
