The Outcast
June 29th, 2017 - 9:04amThe last time people said something like that, we got Hell Bent. Be cautious.

June 29th, 2017 - 6:33amAre you kidding it will be! An hour and 2 evil time lords.

June 29th, 2017 - 6:27amMaybe or maybe at the end of episode 12 he regenerates there and you see a prelude to the Christmas special

June 27th, 2017 - 4:05pmWow just noticed missy threatening to kill the master and he says ‘you would never be so self destructive’ and then he drops his gun aimed at missy and says ‘and neither would I’ lol because they’re the same person so literally self destructive. It may have taken me too long to notice that I’m just going to sit down in this dark room now until Saturday

June 27th, 2017 - 3:24pmI see, thank you.

June 27th, 2017 - 3:24pmThat`s true, but I still think it is a plot hole.

June 27th, 2017 - 1:46pmTechnically, Amy and Rory both passed on as in the graveyard where they were zapped, the headstone reads that they are both dead as of 2012 if i remember correctly. Rory died age 82 & Amy 87.
The Temporal Jelly Baby
June 27th, 2017 - 12:50pmAnd for someone who’s beyond the petty human obsession with gender, the Doctor sure does like to have female companions. 🙂
The Temporal Jelly Baby
June 27th, 2017 - 12:46pmSo I don’t think it’s a plot hole.
The Temporal Jelly Baby
June 27th, 2017 - 12:45pmThe line you referenced was followed by Bill saying “But you still call yourself Time Lords?” and the Doctor replying with “Yeah, shut up”.
booboo
June 27th, 2017 - 12:35pmits there now, there is part word being used that’s blocking some comments

June 27th, 2017 - 12:14pmWatched three times now and I’ve only just picked up on something, when the Doctor and Bill are discussing the Doctor and the Master being friends long ago Bill asks if the Time Lords are OK with the man/woman thing and the Doctor says the “Time Lords are billions of years beyond your petty human obsession with gender and associated types” (or as near as)
Now this can not be the case because in Hell Bent when the general regenerates into a female she is quiet sexist with her coments about “all that ego” and “being back to normal” as if being a male was unwelcome? So they clearly have not gone beyond petty obsession with gender at all! Typical Moffat, plot holes everywhere.
RORY DOCTOR RIVER POND

June 26th, 2017 - 6:31pmWow, that episode was just amazing. Poor Bill, I actually had tears in my eyes, I hope they leave her as a cyberman as ‘conversion is permanent!’ I loved the darkness of this episode and I’m so glad they got the cyberman voice right and the mouth wasn’t moving, so creepy.
I had no idea that Mr Razor was the Master until he started talking to Missy so that was a great surprise.
I hope we find out next week more about the mad surgeon performing the conversions, he is technically the creator of the Cybermen, unless of course it was the Master all along telling him what to do.
Peter Capaldi and Michelle Gomez are just perfect together, I’m really going to miss them.
Amazing special effects. 10/10 from me.

June 26th, 2017 - 2:48pmBut it would have been leaked anyway…so I understand why the BBC did it. Firstly, they control the leaks. Secondly, those who do like to leak stuff, stop trying and don’t ruin anything more (for example, had it not been announced by the BBC, those who leaked it would have gone further and actually leaked the whole disguise thing and/or plot line…but as the main surprise is already out there, they lose interest and move on). Thirdly, its been used as a promotion for the series to keep people tuned in rather than dip in and out.
I think this is the way it will be done now. Start Wars announced the return of the old cast in way before The Force Awakens was released…this meant they were in control and it stopped people leaking further stuff about the plot and …ahem…that thing that happened to Han.
Can’t blame the BBC, blame the people who force them to play their hand early.

June 25th, 2017 - 9:13pmBy the way booboo, how come the poll doesn’t come up with number of votes like previous ones?

June 25th, 2017 - 8:53pmI do sincerely hope the second episode is as good as this one in its own way. It is so far shaping up to be my favourite Capaldi story. So far my favourite is ‘The Magician’s Apprentice/The Witch’s Familiar’, but it’s looking like it might get nudged off the top spot. Depending how good ‘The Doctor Falls’ is of course. No doubt when the episode starts it won’t pick up straight from the cliffhanger, and begin ‘6 months later’ or something. That would be typical Moffat.

June 25th, 2017 - 7:52pmIts better to check in a few weeks on the barb website. You normally find that against other programmes on the same night Dr Who does ok really.
Doctor Stu
June 25th, 2017 - 5:17pmAll the time that razor (or whatever the masters disguise was) was on the screen I kept thinking to myself I know that voice and it kept bugging me to the point that I was going to google what actor played that character but I watched the episode at 11pm last night so googling doctor who would have been a stupid idea as I would have been flooded with spoilers so I decided not to and I only twigged when he was talking to Missy near the end and I let out a little shout.

June 25th, 2017 - 4:30pmAgreed

June 25th, 2017 - 4:00pmI agree booboo. In my opinion, revealing the return of John Simm in the trailer wasn’t needed, and ultimately spoiled his actual return. It lacked the impact it really deserved.

June 25th, 2017 - 3:55pmThe overnight viewing figures are in, and it’s only 3.37 million. Across the channels last night, ratings were low. I do expect Doctor Who to do really well on catch-up TV. I’ve already watched ‘World Enough and Time’ three times. Twice on I-Player. Only episode I’ve watched more than twice during series 10. So it must be good.

June 25th, 2017 - 3:48pmYes, and it looks like it might link into ‘The Tenth Planet’. It could well be the South Pole in 1986 where the Tardis lands.
Obsie
June 25th, 2017 - 3:48pmI think it was explained at the end of The Day of the Doctor when the War Doctor said he wouldn’t remember anything of the events, the 11th Doctor remarked he couldn’t keep the memories as they were out of sync and it wasn’t allowed.
Obsie
June 25th, 2017 - 3:43pmI makes perfect sense because the opening scene struck a chord so much of The Tenth Planet, so technically either the 1st Doctor’s TARDIS is around somewhere or is about to land, with temporal and space co-ordinates all laid in with Capaldi’s TARDIS it’s brought him to meet his 1st incarnation. After all The Master did remark to Missy he was a little bit worried about his own future, so intervention and interaction with other selves appears to be going on all round, same thing happened in The Two Doctors. Whatever, I can barely wait till next week.
Doctor Stu
June 25th, 2017 - 2:43pmWas anybody else just happy to hear the masters voice again, he seems to have slipped back into the role so easily it’s as if he never left
The Doctor Will See You Now
June 25th, 2017 - 1:47pmDoes anyone else think the scene at the beginning of the episode with the Doctor stumbling out of the TARDIS about to regenerate will be a scene from the Christmas Special? It would make sense, considering that Peter Capaldi’s hair is longer than ever in that particular scene, which would indicate time has passed since The Doctor Falls, and also it’s snowing in that scene, giving it a Christmasy feel.
