A Very Evil Dalek With Some Fans

The Daleks are being wheeled before the cameras once again. But which design? The answer is ALL OF THEM! – even this one! Does that mean the 1960’s emperor is hiding out of site?

    hi guys
my theory who remembers rememberance of the daleks 7th doctor times. soz cant remember the names of the daleks. thats the white daleks went to war with grey daleks but the white daleks lost the first round then they bought out special weapon dalek what if they fount away back to bring the special weapon dalek back beacuse its firepower its more stronger then the paradighm daleks
also diffrent colour daleks have diffrent davros so there would at least be 4 or 5 davros and then that would go all timey wimey
    so thats my theory

Remembrance of the Daleks is a 1988 Ben Aronavitch story featuring Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred as the 7th Doctor and Ace. The two Dalek factions are the Renegade Daleks [ grey and black, lead by a black and silver Supreme Dalek ]and the Imperial Daleks [ white and gold, and lead by Davros as their Emperor in a similar casing but with a BBQ flip top feature built around his head, and also they had the Special Weapons Gunner Dalek ]. Both factions where fighting over the Hand of Omega, a Time Lord device. Davros got tricked into using it to destroy Skaro, and it saw the end of the Renegade and Imperial Daleks in the story, except for Davros, who escaped once again.

The Paradigm Daleks went off to rebuild the Dalek race, that’s why there were 10,000 ships in The Pandorica Opens.

    • Jason doctorwhoone

B4 SM came in and introduced the ugly new daleks, I thought that we were simply meant to assume that the Daleks had always been the RTD ones (that they’d always been bronze etc since the Doctor first met them) Now it seems that is not the case.

The Doctor lands on a snowy planet, where he discovers the Paradigm Dalek’s are mining through the crust of the planet (ring any bells) in order to reach a tomb of ancient Daleks (60′s and 70′s most likely.) They are doing this in order to obtain Daleks which do two things. Give them information and secrets about the Dalek past and act as their slaves (as the Paradigm Daleks are pure, it is logical that the classics would obey them.) The Doctor is worried that the old Daleks will reveal something that he does not want revealed like how to revive Davros or prevent the Doctor from altering their creation. In order to ensure that they do not do this, he travels back in time to enlist the help of the RTD Daleks, who arrive on the planet and launch a surprise attack on the Paradigm and classic Daleks.
    My evidence:
1: the new picture of Matt and Karen with a 60′s dalek shows that dalek to be covered in cobwebs, indicating that it could be buried and neglected.
2: The eye that comes out of the snow is a paradigm eye, indicating that whatever operation is being carried out on the planet, it is the paradigm daleks behind it.
3: It is illogical that the classic daleks would be hostile towards the new paradigm as the new paradigm daleks are both pure, and miles more powerful than them.

      April 3rd, 2012 - 5:11pm

Cheers guys :! I would love to write one day, especially if it was DW. Looking back, I can already see a slight issue with my theory, being that the RTD Daleks from the photos are seemingly buried and neglected as well, but I’d be willing to bet that the bit about the Paradigm’s mining for old daleks is correct.

      good idea

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      April 3rd, 2012 - 5:25pm

Well, like I said in my theory, maybe the Daleks stored themselves in the tomb/base to build armies when necessary. Perhaps in the early days of the Time War, a couple of RTD Daleks temporal shifted to the base to store themselves for future needs.

    • The 14th Doctor

      April 3rd, 2012 - 5:30pm

Yeah, well I think everyone agrees that some Daleks are stored away in a Tomb. I would be annoyed if it was the Time War daleks who survived in this way though, coz it’s getting stupid how they are meant to be extinct but have once again found a way back. SM invented the new things to STOP that, so if it is like that then he is being counter productive.

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      April 3rd, 2012 - 5:52pm

Yes, I’ll agree with you there. If long gone enemies come back then
we need a better explanation than *shudder* “One ship survived.”
That’s only happened once in Moffat’s reign though.

    • The 14th Doctor

      April 3rd, 2012 - 8:54pm

I found that funny actually. If Gatiss has actually bothered looking back at Journey’s end, he would realise that the Daleks were all killed as their power cells were overloaded. It is IMPOSSIBLE that any Daleks could have survived, they were all overloaded. If SM carries on this stupid tradition of bringing them back from the dead he is stupid. Whilst I am glad to see the old Daleks returning, it is a bit counter productive as the idea of making new props when DW came back was to bulk them up and make them look more realistic as machines. But nonetheless, a return of the classics is something I’ve wanted since I was real young, so I’m all for it. SM has given me nearly everything I could have wanted from DW. The old style Tardis exterior,a glimpse of other rooms in the Tardis, more than one companion, a totally alien doctor, and now this. I just find it a shame that his style of writing can be a bit tedious and complicated sometimes, because otherwise it would be absolutely perfect for me.

    • Give me a Dalek any day

      April 3rd, 2012 - 9:44pm

I do like Moffat and I don’t mind the arcs, but The Wedding of River Song needed more time to wrap things up in my opinion. An extra 10 minutes like The Big Bang would have been nice. Oh well, we look ahead to the future now and to the exciting return of the Daleks, a new companion and, of course, the 50th Anniversary.

    • The 14th Doctor

      April 3rd, 2012 - 9:45pm

If they don’t have Daleks in that I will be angry. The 50th anniversary should be a Dalek story, with multiple Doctors.

Outnumbered, we know you don’t want the Daleks. You think they were overused. You think Moffat isn’t a good writer. You think Series 6 is bad.

Sorry, but I only agree about the Daleks. I thought Series 6 was the best, and I think that the people that didn’t like it just thought the stories were too complicated. Moffat is the best DW writer.

But anyway, tbh everybody has diffirent thoughts, so I’m not angry with you. Although I read that you want The Flood back. I don’t because they weren’t really good and they scared me.

Anyway, I do agree about the Daleks. They are being terribly overused 🙁
But a good Dalek story mentioned by everyone? Definitely yes! 😀

    • The 14th Doctor

BTW did anyone else ever think that we were meant to just assume that the RTD Daleks were how the Daleks had always looked? Coz I used to think that before SM bought the new daleks in. I just thought we were meant to imagine that the daleks had always looked how they did at that time.

It’s not the Anniversary. There are two reasons why:
1.) Karen Gillan is there and Karen doesn’t want to come back once she’s left.
2.) The 50th Anniversary doesn’t begin filming till early next year.

It certainly seems like a story that would be quite suitable for the 50th Anniversary though.

Well, I’m waiting to see what it’s like to be honest. If it’s just Exterminate! Exterminate! no storyline, blow things up, blow things up, then I’ll hate it. However, I’m sure that won’t happen.

    I have terrible bad news… 🙁

Yesterday, an April Fools joke was said that Jenna Louise Coleman would be the next Doctor. Yes indeed, it was fake. But today it has been reported that the next Doctor will be a female, and who is it? Lara Pulver from Sherlock (is that her name?) !!! 🙁 🙁 Matt Smith mustn’t leave! He’s the best! In the Classics they used to stay for at least 5 series, and he’s 3! So this series it’s goodbye (in the 2013 run). I guess Jenna Louise will leave as I don’t think it will be female Doctor with female companion.

And what else? I’m announcing that when the series finishes and Matt leaves, I’ll be quiting liking Doctor Who. Yep, because the next is female. I just can’t imagine it! I’ve liked it 8 years, and it will be a heartbreaking thing to do. 🙁 🙁

Nothing has been announced, its newspaper speculation from “sources” and it happens over and over again

The Sun said Mattt Smith would leave at the end of Series 6, did he?
Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman are most certainly the Doctor and companion for the 50th Anniversary and possibly beyond. All of this is just silly speculation!

      Oh god, that’s good! 😀
It’s just it said it has to be confirmed, luckily it’s ok. Anyway, this isn’t the first time I nearly quited. I also did that in 2009 when David Tennant left. It’ll be hard to leave Matt on the 50th, but he must change. Again though, as I said the Classic Doctors stayed for at least 5 series! 😀

I’m glad you stayed to see Matt. I was prepared to see him the minute I saw the trailers and he did not dissapoint, instantly becoming the best, most Doctor-ish Doctor since 2005. The only thing I hate is that people refused to watch Series 5 because David Tennant wasn’t in it. Even now, the fanboys/girls constantly run around screaming “BRING BACK TENNANT!”

Yes, I heard about the Cumberbatch Master rumours and this is just the same. Interesting how they’re both connected to Sherlock eh?
Although, I do think Benedict Cumberbatch would be amazing as The Master.

He was asked to play the 11th Doctor in 2008, but turned the offer down because of the amount of attention playing the role can give you.
Little did he know that Sherlock would be just as big.

Well we know Matt Smith will be in the 2013 Christmas Special after the anniversary, so the story isn’t true.

Might still happen, but not for a while yet.

Just to correct, the majority of classic Doctors stayed for 3 years, but there was no limit. I believe they were all contracted for a year at a time and could leave whenever they wanted.

Tom Baker stayed for seven years, Colin Baker for two but most of them stayed for three years.

Jenna-Louise Coleman was asked in an interview: ” What does it feel like being part of the 50th?” This means Jenna is definetley staying for the 50th and Beyond! Just think Karen and Arthur are staying for 2 1/2 series! I’m guessing Jenna will play up until at least the end of 2014! P.S: Please Karen, please come back for 50th!

The picture was just posted on Doctor Who’s Facebook page with the words: “Matt Smith and Karen Gillan with their favourite style of Dalek. What’s yours?”

So, is this just getting people to talk about their favourite Daleks?

Could it be the one from the experience? When I was there, it wasn’t covered in dust and dirt, or damaged. If it is that one, they must have distressed it a large amount. Why would they do that for just an April Fools joke?

I can just about imagine William Hartnell smiling in heaven, looking down on that Dalek and thinking ” ahh, excellant, their going to be using a Dalek from my time on the show, how delightful, I must tell Sidney [ Newman ] and Variety [ Lambert ]” 🙂
