A Very Evil Dalek With Some Fans

The Daleks are being wheeled before the cameras once again. But which design? The answer is ALL OF THEM! – even this one! Does that mean the 1960’s emperor is hiding out of site?

Red herring, April fool or major story line – Who Knows!

The Sun has given their gold coloured Dalek (from Day of the Daleks) to the team for filming. 😀 😀 😀

NUTS !!, I was just about to mention this, but it seems ya beat me too it, oh well 😀

The Sun are wrong about their gold Dalek thou, it isint the same one from Day of the Daleks, you can easily tell, plus their one is in damn good condition and looks almost new where as the one in Day of the Daleks which also got re-used in the story Frontier in Space is 40 years old and probably not in very good condition these days.

Anyway, here’s the link to the story – http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/tv/4247386/Its-REJUVENATE-as-Suns-model-Dalek-is-called-back-to-action.html

The Sun’s gold Dalek is not the Supreme Dalek from 1972’s Day of the Daleks [ and re-used again in 1973’s Frontier in Space ], it’s a completely different prop altogether. If you look at their one and the 1970’s original, you can easily tell it aint the same prop. The only thing both the Sun Dalek and the 70’s Supreme Dalek have in common is their both gold and black, other then that, and the fact their both classic Daleks, that all that they have in common. The Sun made a futher mistake by saying that in 1984 ” new strain of white machines appears”, clearly they mean 1985 which was Colin Bakers ” Remembrance of the Daleks ” as that story featured early Imperial Daleks . . . . I PI-TY THE FO-OLS 😛

the suns dalek is probably what character options used for referance when they made the inaccurate day of the daleks supreme dalek figure which was supposed to have gold neck rings whereas the suns dalek has black ones.

    What I want to see:

The New Paradigm Daleks hear that previous Daleks are still alive across pockets in time so they go to find them and have them exterminated, but the daleks of the past resist and become renegades so we have another dalek civil war.

no. the previous daleks are “unclean” acording to the paradigm so they belive they must be exterminated.

    • IronsideDalek

Weeping Angels would need to be able to touch a Dalek, which they couldn’t do without having to get through heavily armoured, force fielded war machines, not to mention, the Dalek could just shoot the angel to pieces. And for Silents, they’re easily killed by bullets, so a Dalek would take one look at a Silent and “EX-TER-MI-NATE!”

Well there will be NO 2 PARTERS in this series so seeing Ood twice won’t happen, unless they appear in 1 episode of the first half of Series 7 and another episode in the other half in 2013, but theres been no mention of Ood in Series 7, and to be honest, I think they shouldint bother with the Ood anymore, they kinda feel overused since that so called ” Nephew ” Ood appeared in Series 6 last year. I think they should have just left the Ood alone after Series 4, cos atleast they where happy and free with their wonderful Song of Freedom 🙂

    • Dalek of Doom

      April 10th, 2012 - 8:38pm

I totally agree! The Ood are best laid to bed for now! They’re nothing in the show’s history compared to the 50th! In Cardiff, I saw the Atraxi on set for Episode 5! They hovere above the cast who were at a grave! It looks like they was taking the dead body up into space!

This Dalek looks like it’s come straight from the planet Valcon and the Troughton story ‘Power of the Daleks’. Is this a story involving some kind of transportation of Daleks extracted from time in the Doctor’s past timeline? Seems like the build up to the sensational 50th anniversary begins here!

That may not be the reason. Character Options may have just decided to make the 5inch figures more fun by including sound FX so they could A)make more money out of something you’ve brought already which originally had no sound FX in the blooming first place, and B)Annoy guys like me who thought ” why the hell didint Character Options make the 5inch Dalek have sound FX included when they started producing the bleeders back in 2005 ? grrrr “.

Paradigm Daleks treating the Time War and Classic Daleks as slaves ?, seems to me like your suggesting Harry Hill would say – ” Well, I like the Classic Daleks of Doctor Who, but then again, I like the new series versions from Doctor Who as well, but which is better ?, theres only one way to find out – FIGHT !! “. Far as I’m concerned, a Dalek is a Dalek, no matter colour, size or appearance it’s casing might be. All versions of the Daleks should just come together and do what they do best – EX-TER-MIN-ATING AND BE-COM-ING MAS-TERS OF THE UNI-VERSE !! 😀

Return of the Doctor is possible (probably won’t be the title though. Lol)
On The Eleventh Hour in-vision commentary, Steven Moffat says the original title for The Eleventh Hour was The Doctor Returns (“Because he does sort of…return”).
Somehow, I can just imagine him cackling away at the thought of using that title especially due to the amount of waiting we’ll have to do before episode 1.

According to DWM the current total is 20-30 Daleks. That is A LOT and many more than they could make, meaning that either
    a) they collected all the classic Daleks
or b) they collected all the fan-made Daleks

Either way, we’ve got a return of my favourites! 😀

I have seen that on a couple of Youtube videos of the TARDIS tour at the convention. I suppose it’s just gonna be one of those small changes. E.G the new railngs in Series 6

    My theory:

The TARDIS lands on a snowy planet where paradigm daleks are trying to capture the last of the humans who fled to this planet because earth is becoming inhabited by a deadly poison.
Then a progenitor falls into the paradigm dalek’s power, they use the machine, but, it goes wrong and the progenitor creates new bronze daleks who want to destroy the paradigm daleks so they create new 60s and 70s daleks to form an alliance to destroy the paradigm daleks and the doctor, then when they have destroyed the paradigm daleks both 60s and 70s daleks go to war.

Let me know what you think.

Good theory, but really I think the paradigm daleks are staying. Even before all the pictures., I imagined a montage of paradigm daleks destroying classic and time war daleks.

I would LIKE that to happen as I hate the Paradigm Daleks, but I don’t think SM would want to kill the off that quickly. I think he knows how poorly they have been received and I think his eventual plan would be to just use them less and less until they vanish. But that’s a great theory.

and if you think about it, as much as don’t like the new daleks, to stick to continuity the new daleks fire power would destroy the old ones in no time.

      April 5th, 2012 - 7:16pm

But we haven’t see what 60s and 70s dalek fire power does to paradigm daleks have we?

We haven’t seen what any Dalek firepower is like on them. These Daleks haven’t been seen properly in action yet.

p.s or maby Jenna-Louise Coleman is playing the doctor’s daughter as the doctor mentiond in the doctor who episode the doctor daughter that he has been a dad before

It’s possible. Although, keep in mind that a lot of the teasers in the book were made up. Some were true (The only water in the forest is the river)and some were fake, then true (502 but never 503).

They weren’t teasers for Series 5, they were for Series 6 and possibly future series. Series 5 had already aired when the first brilliant book came out. Although, as I said, a lot of them were made up.

They were teasers for 2011 in general (one of them matches up to an episode of the SJA for instance) so who knows if there were others in there as well that were correct at one point but were later cancelled.

There won’t be anything beyond it, unless it is a deliberate reference to the made up teasers from the book, not a real teaser from the book.

did you know that 502 but never 503 teaser that was at first just put into the book for a made up teaser but then mofffat picked it out of the book and used it

Yes, that’s why I said it was fake then true!

Oh my bad, series 6 (typo!) . But they were only for series 6 and nothing else. They were also written before writing was finished on series 6 so i doubt that SM would have told them anything else!

It is indeed a black domed Dalek. It’s from the 2nd Doctor story ” Evil of the Daleks ” and is infact an Emperor Guard Dalek, but wither or not it is a replica remains to be seen.
