BBC One confirms the new Doctor lands on Saturday 23 August
The BBC has today confirmed the much-anticipated eighth series of the hit sci-fi drama Doctor Who will land on BBC One on Saturday 23 August, 2014.
The feature-length premiere episode entitled “Deep Breath” will see Peter Capaldi take on one of TV’s most iconic roles as the Twelfth Doctor, alongside Jenna Coleman as his companion Clara.

June 28th, 2014 - 3:41amI’m liking this. I’m hoping the Series 8 plot will be about the Doctor rediscovering who he his, with Clara there to help him. It would make sense since the Doctor has post-regeneration amnesia again, and Clara has been through his timestream.

Cool trailer though, hopefully we’ll get a proper one soon!
And hopefully the new series will be as dark as these teasers make out, it would be a nice change for things to get a little darker and more serious, something I’ve been wanting for a while!
