November 11th, 2014 - 7:50pmDefinitely Ice Warriors, just listen to the familiar rattle noise in the trailer when it opens it’s mouth. You can compare this to the noises in Cold War if you wish.

November 12th, 2014 - 9:36amHope that’s true, I like the Ice Warriors!!
The Doctor and Handles
November 11th, 2014 - 7:19pmLooks great!
DOCTOR WHO ONE
November 11th, 2014 - 6:43pmGlad to finally see Nick Frost turn up in Doctor Who, since his buddy and co-star of film ‘Shaun of the Dead’, ‘Hot Fuzz’, ‘Paul’ and ‘At the Worlds End’ Simon Pegg appeared as ‘The Editor’ in series 1’s ‘The Long Game’.
Robert Adams AKA Sutekh
November 11th, 2014 - 6:29pmOh, you’d better watch out!
Santa Claus and Doctor Who PLUS Alien crossover is coming to town!
Stay away from those Robot Santas and Christmas Trees.
Exterminator
November 11th, 2014 - 2:51pmI just had a thought, Santa must be a time lord! How else does he get round the whole planet in just one night to deliver all the presents? His sleigh is a Tardis! It must be able to travel through time and be bigger on the inside to carry enough presents for every child in the world.
Is this the return of the meddling monk?
DOCTOR WHO ONE
November 11th, 2014 - 6:39pmThere may have been a time when the Doctor himself might have once been Santa himself.
Rose: “Look at you, beaming around like it’s Christmas”.
The Doctor: “Who says I’m not ?. Red Bicycle when you was 12 !”.
Rose: “What ??”.
😀
Dalek The Supreme
November 11th, 2014 - 10:15pmActually, The Doctor Who One, that was pretty much retconned that idea when he showed a kid a picture of him with Santa Claus and Albert Einstein, even implying they went on guy’s nights out.
Actually, I like that idea better than the Doctor actually being Santa Claus, since the Doctor’s already Merlin.

November 11th, 2014 - 12:46amSeries 8 of Doctor Who was the most weakest, poorest series to date.
Terrible storylines, apart from a few EPs.
Very wooden acting from Capaldi.
Highly annoying relation of Clara and Danny.
And the finale was very disturbing, especially for those who have recently lost a loved one and they see a story where a deceased person is begging not to be cremated.
A new head writer needs to be employed, as the drivel that is coming from Moffat is cringeworthy.
And this is from someone who has watched the show since the first episode.

November 11th, 2014 - 12:43pmI buried an uncle two days before the finale part one- the episode did not bother me in the slightest.
If you have watched the series from the first episode (assuming you mean 1963 as opposed to 2005), do you really believe McCoy’s debut season was better than this one?
I was unsure of Capaldi after viewing the first few episodes but he grew on me greatly – look forward to seeing what he does with the character in the future (or past as the case may be!)
Dalek Supreme
November 10th, 2014 - 10:38pmWell, you got my attention Dr. Who, now make it good!
Wm.
November 10th, 2014 - 4:46amVery hard to live-up to Tennant and Smith, but doing well. Keep Clara. She is the conscience and is meant to be a strong counterpart.
Lee Llewellyn-Thornhill
November 10th, 2014 - 12:36amCan’t agree with the people moaning about series 8, I think this has been one of the strongest series since the Moff took overand I think his writing since he took over has got worse, I liked it when RTD was in charge and the Moff just wrote the odd episode, I’m glad he has taken a bit of 2nd fiddle in the writing this series and do like the direction the show is going in, it needed the darkness, scariness again, hated the writing during Matt Smiths reign up until mid series 7 & 50th show. Think Peter is going to go down as the GREATEST Doctor ever, really love his character traits and interplay between him and Clara, and HOPING we have not seen the last of Missy loved her naughty nature. I don’t want more Moffat fairy tale stories rubbish as what he did with Matt really annoyed me and to me in a lot of ways Matt’s reign for me was ruined by Moffat’s writing and the samey rubbish he wrote. I’m hoping that maybe its a new monster in the Christmas story, I would actually like to see the Slitheen back too, loved them especially Margaret Slitheen. Please too change the new version of the Theme, don’t like it, it sounds cheap.
paula
November 10th, 2014 - 7:39pmMy son and I agree. Great new doctor just hope the writing can match the caliber of the actors involved and yes the new version of the theme tune and graphics are not up to scratch.
The Lost Moon of Poosh
November 9th, 2014 - 10:37pmIt looks great… dark but Santa adding that little bit of playfulness that’s always there
Doctordredd67
November 9th, 2014 - 10:23pmYou’d better watch out……..
for the spinning christams trees ! 🙂
Handbot10
November 9th, 2014 - 4:18pmNick Frost as Santa, okay. In my opinion it is a good idea to add Santa. Only because recently the series has been going so dark. The show is becoming less child-friendly by the second. Death in Heaven probably being the worst culprit. This should make it a little more like a kids show again. But the aliens look good. Really want it to be the ice warriors but its prably a new monster.
The Figure Adventurer
November 11th, 2014 - 8:59pmOr the Sea Devils… I’ve heard that. AND I REALLY HOPE IT IS!!!!
the astronaut of death

November 9th, 2014 - 11:56amHas anyone noticed when the doctor says who you gonna call there is someone standing in the tardis doorway. I wonder who it is.

NathanWho
November 9th, 2014 - 8:31amoh dear santa claus
but the aliens! yeah look cool and would totally buy a figure of them!
MrHaloWho
November 9th, 2014 - 10:11amI’m sure NONE of the alien designs came from Alien. The silver teeth, the mouth opening slowly with saliva dripping from it.
CJ
November 9th, 2014 - 8:23amThis looks really good, better not be a let down!
DOCTOR WHO ONE
November 9th, 2014 - 8:01amA L I E N . . . . In space, no one can hear you scream.
KILL THE MOON . . . . In space, no one can hear you scream on the Moon.
2014 CHRISTMAS SPECIAL . . . . On Earth, no one can hear you scream at the North Pole.

November 9th, 2014 - 12:23amI don’t mind what Christmas brings as long as Clara doesn’t leave the series. campaign to keep the impossible girl….!!

Ian
November 9th, 2014 - 3:58pmAll Christmases come at once if she is really gone!!
Shame she wasn’t killed.
CJ
November 9th, 2014 - 6:02pmYou know shes confirmed for the Christmas Special?
Ian
November 9th, 2014 - 7:13pmNo I didn’t.
I am so bitterly disappointed with Clara that I really believe my 35 years watching the show is drawing to a close. She just spoils it.
I am all for strong women characters – but Clara is arrogant, self centred, takes centre stage over the Doctor every time and generally turns the Sci-fi into a soap.
Dr Who is turning to plop.
A shame because left to his own devices, I think Peter has the ability to be one of the best Doctors for years.

November 9th, 2014 - 9:47pmI say either keep Clara or bring back Danny and send them both off
paula
November 10th, 2014 - 7:45pmClare was difficult to watch. She made a lot of the suspense parts unbelievable as if watching pantomime. She has no credibility or breadth in the emotions she uses as if everything is a game. We switched off half way through the Matt Smith reign. He was good but the mixture of writing, plus Clare was too much. Come back to watch the new doctor and his lines and banter are great. Keeping us back in..just.
Owen
November 9th, 2014 - 12:18amSlitheen?!
Anonymous
November 9th, 2014 - 3:40amprepare for return of the ice warriors!
Kiek
November 9th, 2014 - 6:48amNo and no. Definetely a new monster.
TheExtremeBlueTARDIS
November 8th, 2014 - 10:54pmHmmm, have to agree with people here. The episode looks good, but the downsides are how the Santa character will come across and the darkness of the episode. This looks dark, and frankly I prefer a Christmas episode to have more jolly times.
Maybe it’ll beat The Snowmen, who knows. c;
Kiek
November 9th, 2014 - 7:09amYes, I agree
ZygonTerror
November 8th, 2014 - 9:55pmI think it could be the return of the Sea Devils.
They certainly sound like them and they’re clearly reptilian looking
ZygonTerror
November 8th, 2014 - 10:22pmOr maybe even more likely Krynoids due to the arctic setting and the slimy thing that is opening could be a mouth or a krynoid pod which was slimy also in The Seeds of Doom. Plus they made the same sound.
Anonymous
November 9th, 2014 - 9:48pmIt’ll be a new monster
the astronaut of death
November 8th, 2014 - 9:50pmI really hope it is not too dark
I see doctor who Christmas specials as a break from all the doom and gloom and they are here to spread a bit of Christmas cheer
so lets hope for a Christmassy episode and not a doom and gloom sotry
Dalekparadigm2
November 8th, 2014 - 9:46pmChristmas wouldn’t be the same without Doctor Who. Except I watch it on Boxing Day… It feels closer now than it did this morning. I suppose it is really. But it feels like it’s…well…like it’s upon us even more. It’s exhilarating and exciting.
Trenzalore
November 8th, 2014 - 9:45pmDoesn’t look too good in my opinion. Bet it’s just ‘Yes, I’m the real Santa. Ho, ho, ho’ for about half the episode then we actually find out he’s a Slitheen or something, stealing children’s presents (bet kids will be involved somewhere too 🙄 )
starshipalaska
November 8th, 2014 - 10:29pmHah, amazing, best thing I’ve read today: sad truth is you’re almost certainly right.
TMD
November 8th, 2014 - 9:44pmGood grief…. looks limper than the series
Dalekparadigm2
November 8th, 2014 - 9:47pmIn your opinion that is. Others really liked most of the series.
Ian
November 9th, 2014 - 4:00pmWorst series since it came back.
But best Doctor (although Clara stole the lime light). 🙁
the astronaut of death
November 8th, 2014 - 9:33pmthis looks amazing
cant wait to get a children in need trailer next week!
Owen
November 8th, 2014 - 9:31pmJourney Blue?!
The five doctors
November 9th, 2014 - 3:06pmThat’s what I was thinking looks a lot like Journey Blue maybe the new companion ?
Owen
November 9th, 2014 - 6:22pmBut you know the doctor he does not take soilders
The Long Scarf
November 9th, 2014 - 9:51pmI does look like journey blue… but if you remember he was very hard on her being a soldier last time
KJ5IK
November 10th, 2014 - 2:41amJo Grant was a soldier, Harry Sullivan was a soldier, the Brigadier was a soldier (although not a companion).
The five doctors
November 15th, 2014 - 1:36amMaybe she’s given up being a soldier just to be with the doctor ?
The Temporal Jelly Baby
November 8th, 2014 - 9:11pmIt certainly has potential.
Doctor Hugh
November 8th, 2014 - 9:11pmthis looks sooo cool
obey the whispermen
November 8th, 2014 - 9:09pmThis looks like it may be one of the best (but scary) Christmas specials ever. Absolutely cant wait. Also those aliens look like the creatures from the movie called alien.
galifrey
November 8th, 2014 - 11:13pmXenomorphs ?
DOCTOR WHO ONE
November 9th, 2014 - 7:59amYEAH !!.
The Werewolf
November 10th, 2014 - 10:44pmAnd here was me thinking that ripping of the Alien design once (in Dragonfire) was enough, but I see they have to do it again.
The Moffat Paradox
November 11th, 2014 - 7:13pmAll that seems missing is when their opening their mouths seeing the extenadable teeth going right through peoples skulls.
